Objectives: : to learn and practice new lexical units; use vocabulary related to the topic;  develop listening and speaking skills.

Learning Outcomes: by the end of the lesson pupils will be able to ask and tell the age, name the numbers from 1 to 7, count.

 Vocabulary: one,two,three,four,five,six,seven

Materials to be used:  whiteboard,  screen, Power Point presentation, video, songs, handouts.

PROCEDURE

I. Warm up

1 Greeting song “Hello!”

Hello! Hello! How are you?

I am fine! I am great!

II. Review

– OK. We train our tongue and now let’s regard words.

– Translate into English.

Як тебе звати? Як у тебе справи?

– Let’s make a dialogue. I’ll ask you and you will answer .

II. Presentation of new material.

1. Vocabulary

– Look at the blackboard.

-What is this? (numbers)

– You can count in Ukrainian and now I count in English. Listen to me.

– Repeat after me.

III. Practice of new material

-         You have got cakes and candles. Make your birthday cakes. The candles on the cake denote your age.

-         Present your cakes. Introduce yourself and say how old are you.

IV.  Application of new material.

-         Let’s make a dialogue. Imagine you are in London. Talk with your friend in English.

V. Summing up activities.

- Pupils, I’ll name the number and your task is clap your hands. For example…

- Lets make a snake. Touch the hand of your classmate and ask him/her “How old are you?”
