The Procedure

Warm-up/ Review  3min.

1.     Greeting (Slide Nr. 3)

T: – Hello, pupils. Nice to meet you.

Ps: – Hello, teacher. Nice to meet you.

T: – Welcome to our lesson!

2.     Review. Song“What’s your name?” (Slide Nr. 4)

T: Let’s sing the “Hello song” and repeat the moves all together.

Pupils sing the song,watch the video and repeat the moves together with the teacher.

3.     Review. Song “How old are you?” (Slide Nr. 5)

T: Let’s watch the cartoon and sing the “How old are you?” song all together.

Pupils watch the video and sing the song together with the teacher.

Presentation of new material 12min.

1.     Game “Meet my friend” (Slide Nr. 6).

T: – I want to introduce my friends. Look, listen and try to repeat the phrases after me. This is my friend. He is Ivanko.

Ps: – This is my friend. He is Ivanko.

T: – This is my friend. She is Marichka.

Ps: – This is my friend. She is Marichka.

(The teacher repeats the phrases a few times pointing at every pupil and telling their names. The pupils try to repeat after the teacher).

2.     Relaxation. Song “Teddy Bear” (Slide Nr. 7).

T: Let’s watch the cartoon, sing the song “Teddy Bear” and repeat the moves all together.

Pupils sing the song, watch the video and repeat the moves together with the teacherseveral times.

Practice of new material 8min

1.     Song “This is my friend” (Slide Nr. 8).

T: Let’s watch the cartoon and try to sing the song “This is my friend” all together.

Pupils watch the video and sing the song together with the teacher several times.

2.     Game “He or She” (Slide Nr. 9).

T: Let’s watch the slides and say the gender, that means say “he” or “she”.

Pupils watch the slides and say“he” or “she”.The teacher controls and corrects the process (if necessary).

Application of new material 10 min

1.     Game “Draw your friend” (Slide Nr. 10).

T: Let’s draw your friends and then introduce them to us.

Pupils draw their friends on the cards and introduce them to the classmates.The teacher controls and corrects the process (if necessary).

2.     Pair work “My friend” (Slide Nr. 11).

T: Let’s divide into pairs and retell us about your friends.

Pupils divide into pairs and introduce their friends to the classmates.The teacher controls and corrects the process (if necessary).

Summing Up activities 2 min

Summing up conversation (Slide Nr. 12).

T:You’ve done a good job today. Now you can introduce your friends in English. Are you glad? Was it interesting for you?
