Вiдкритий урок в 9 класi

з урахуванням всiх типiв сприйняття iнформацii в учнiв

 Theme: Повторення вивченого матеріалу (Продукти харчування, українська кухня)

Objectives:

practical: to introduce some information and new vocabulary on the topic; to develop pupils’ reading and listening comprehension and writing skills;

educative: to cooperate pair and group work; to help learners consolidate and develop their vocabulary by active using of the words given; to involve pupils of all learning styles;

developing: to teach pupils to analyze, compare, identify; to foster students’ spoken habits;

cultural: to expand pupils’ knowledge of food origin.

equipment: computer, projector, Tim Falla "Solutions" Studend`s Book, materials for pair work.

Procedure

I. Starting the lesson.

Greeting. Motivation.

T. – Hello, my dear friends. Take your seats. I’m glad to see you. Well, let’s start our lesson. We have a lot of work to do.

T. –Do you know the theam of our lesson?

- Would you like to know ?

-Look at the screen, we have some idoms. Please,match the idioms with their definitions. (Slide №1)( Work visual)

II. Introducing the theme and expected results.

T. -So, what’s our today’s topic?  I’d like to introduce you the topic of the lesson and my expectations from your work at this lesson. During this lesson you’ll learn some new words, find out and remember some facts from the topic, talk about the ways of cooking dinner or your favourite dish.  Today we are going to speak about cooking, meals. Before the end of the lesson you’ll know much about cooking.

III. Warming up.

1. Reading.(Work visual and auditary)

T. – For the beginning, let`s start from the food quiz. Open your books on page 60 and do the exercise 1. Read and circle the right variant, then listen and check your answers.

2. Writing (Work auditary)

T. – Open your exercise – books and write down today`s  date. You will hear some riddles and your task is to write the answers

 

This is a kind of soup. To cook it you need onions, carrots, potatoes, beetroots and cabbages. What is it? It’s ___________

This flat bread is very tasty. You can find sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese on the top of it. What is it? It’s ______________

This dish is eaten in the morning. Milk and sugar can be added to it. What is it? It’s _________

This dog can be delicious. It is usually eaten with ketchup, mayonnaise, sausages and vegetables. What is it? It’s _________

A tropical fruit which is long and curved and has a yellow skin. ___________

 

T.-Now let`s check your answers.

 

3. Revision of vocabulary.(Work visual)

T.-We should revise the vocabulary denoting our theam. Please, match the drawings to the sentences.(Додаток )

4. Speaking Practice (Work visual ,kinesthetic,auditary )

T - Do you eat school lunches or do you bring your own lunch from home?

What is your favourite dish? Do you like borsch?

Now we are going to write the recipe of this dish, but for the beginning write the shopping list. Each student writes only one ingredient..(Додаток )

T.- Tell me, please, where can we buy bread?

Where can we buy meat? Where can we buy vegetables?  Where can we buy all these products? We also will go to the supermarkat. Take your shopping list and make some dialogues.

 5.Writing (Work visual , auditary)

T.- Write the recipe of borsch.(Додаток )

6. Reading (Work visual , auditary,  kinesthetic )

T - Now I’d like to offer you to read the text about « School meals around the world». You task is  to read the short texts and match the statements to these texts.There is one extra text that you do not need to use.

7.Listening.(Work auditary)

T.- Listen to the text and fill  in the words..(Додаток )

8. Pair work (Work visual , auditary,  kinesthetic )(Додаток )

T.-Work in pairs. Your task is to match the halves of  the sentences and then mime one sentence. The rest of the class try to guess what action is being mimed.

IV. Summing up the lesson

T - Dear children, you have done a great work at the lesson. How do you  appreciate your work? What didn’t you understand? What did you like the best?

V. Homework
