Тема уроку: My Hobby

Мета уроку:

 практична: повторити лексику теми; формувати навички аудіювання; удосконалювати техніку читання; розвивати навички діалогічного мовлення;

Тип уроку: комбінований.

Хід уроку

І. ОРГАНІЗАЦІЙНА ЧАСТИНА.

Introduction. Greeting . Організація класу. Привітання. 

   - Good morning, boys and girls! Glad to see you!

     How are you? (Fine, super, so-so, not bad, OK).

     I see you look great. Are you ready to start the lesson?

Aim . Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T: -Today we`ll speak about your hobby and your friends’ hobby ,  about activities you prefer to do in your free time.

To begin with , let’s  read the rules of our today’s lesson :

             Rules

  • Kindness
  • Don’t interrupt
  • Be active
  • Be confident
  • Be honest
  • Now and here
  • We speak English here

T: Now look at the screen, please. Here you can see a proverb. Read it, please.

P1: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. (від однієї роботи без розваг засумує і Джек)

T: What do you think this proverb means?

P1: To my mind if a person only works without resting, his life will be boring.

P2: I think that every person must have a short rest to do what he likes.

P3 I consider that people should work and play to be happy and merry.

T: Yes, we must have some leisure time after work because it is good for our health and we can do different hobbies .

Warming up 3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

T:Now ,let’s  do such a game puzzle, your task is to guess the first letter and we will see the main word of todays lesson.

H -  you play this game on ice;

O -  This bird has huge eyes;

B – many games can’t do without it;

I – we like to eat it cold in summer;

E – people have them to see the word;

S – this is a flower with yellow color ;

T:-By the way, what is hobby?

P1: Hobby is what a person likes to do in his free time.

P2: Hobby is a special interest, that people do in their spare time.

P3: Hobby is a favourite pastime.

T: You are right. We know that people all over the world have a lot in common. We can have the same hobbies.

Текст “Unusual Hobbies

 

 

       UNUSUAL HOBBIES

     Everyone has different hobbies. It can be doing things, making things, collecting things or learning things. You are doing it to relax or to belong. Some people like to dress up as anime characters while others collect coins. Some think a little bit outside the box and take up hobbies you might not even know existed. Here is a list of the most unusual hobbies we found:

1. Tree shaping

It’s a very cool hobby in which you train living trees and other woody plants into artistic shapes or useful structures. Think about growing your own chair! It might take a while though.Trees provide a lot of material to work with.

2. Beetle fighting

Choose different types of beetles to fight against each other. Beetle fighting enthusiasts sometimes breed different species of beetles for fighting. You can find videos about it online, but while some might find it interesting, others may think it's a bit gross!

 3. Extreme Ironing

Yes, it’s a competitive sport, also known as “EI”.  Extreme ironing consists of ironing clothing in different, usually extreme, situations like while rock climbing, surfing, on a kayaking.

5. Stone skipping

Yes it’s exactly that. You take a nice oval stone and you try to make it bounce on water as many times as possible. The current record holder managed a 51 bounce throw.

A: Yes, it will be dedicated to my hobby of collecting old CDs. Come around 7:00.

A: Can you come to the party at my place on Thursday

evening?

B:Oh? That must be interesting.But  I'm afraid I might be a little late.

B: Thank you. It's so nice of you to invite me.

B: Thank you. I'd love to. What time? Is it something

special?

     Dialogue 2.Talking about hobby

A: Did you always know how to draw and paint?
A: Are there any hobbies you do?

A: Well, it's good that you're so talented.

A: You had an art class?
A: Talent is a great thing, I wish I had one.
A: Oh, you actually do that?
B: Every so often, I do.

B: Exactly, it was my favorite class.
B: I was taught in high school how to draw and paint.
B: I appreciate that.
B: Everyone has a talent. They just need to find it.

B: When I have time, I sometimes draw and paint.
