НАВЧАННЯ ДІАЛОГІЧНОГО МОВЛЕННЯ

FAMILY RELATIONSHIP

Students, today we will talk about family and family relationships, as well as problems between parents and children. We will practice building dialogues and communicating with each other.

The subject of our lesson is the relationship between parents and children.

It’s not a secret that being a parent is one of the most challenging roles in the world. From doing research on various parenting styles to trying out different parenting hacks, we always go above and beyond to make sure we raise happy and successful children. But no matter what style we choose to use, at the end of the day, it still boils down to the kind of relationship every parent has with their children. The stronger the parent-child relationship, the better the upbringing.

Students, do you think parenting is a big responsibility?

What do children need for happiness?

What should parents do to have strong and friendly relationships with grandparents?

Do you agree with the statement "Happy parents - happy children" ?

Let's look at the situation between one parent and the child and discuss it. To begin, read the dialogue in the roles and translate it.

Child: Can I have this?

Me: No.

Child: Ah, perhaps I’ve miscommunicated. I’m asking for it because I want it.

Me: I understood that, actually.

Child: I think maybe you’re not hearing me. I’d like it because I want it.

Me: I’ve heard you quite well, I’m saying that’s not actually an argument.

Child: PERHAPS IF I SAID IT LOUDER.

Me: There’s no problem with my hearing. The problem is that you are arguing.

Child: Well then, let me offer this new information: I want it.

Me: That’s the same information. That’s what you just said, and it’s also the information I assumed when we started.

Child: Well, can I watch YouTube?

Me: You also can’t watch YouTube.

Child: If I can’t watch YouTube, then can I have it?

Me: No! Sorry. No. Why would you think you can have it now?

Child: What if I ask more politely?

Me: I support your decision to behave more politely, and it might increase your chances of getting the next thing you want, but it won’t affect your access to this thing now.

Child: Can I have part of it?

Me: No. No, the having of it is what I’m saying no to. Having part of it is the same as having it.

Child: So can I have all of it?

Me: No! I’m answering the same question. The answer is no.

Child: Why not?

Me: BECAUSE I SAID SO.

Child: But, OK, look, here is some new information.

Me: Yes. What is it?

Child: I need it.

What is the misunderstanding between parent and child?

How do you think the child and the father behaved correctly in this situation?

How do you think this problem could be solved so that everyone is satisfied?

Your next task is to read and translate the given lines and combine them into a dialogue

— It is a week before ann’s Birthday. Have you already bought a gift for her?

— Good, your father and I also bought something. Did you sent an invitations to the birthday party?

— What about your aunt and uncle? We have not seen them for a long time.

— It would be nice to see my nephews and nieces. I’m counting on you.

— Yes, mom. I will not leave my little sister without a gift.

  •  I sent letters to grandparents. They promised to arrive on time.

— I will write them a little later. I think they will with their children.

 — Everything will be done.

Fill in the blank lines in the dialogue

A: Long time no see! How do you?

B: _____________________________?

A: I'm fine too, thanks for asking. How does your mom feel?

B: _____________________________?

A: Well. She continues to work at home. With work on the house helps us to my grandmother.

B: __________________________________.

A: I'm in a bit of a hurry, so I have to go. It was nice to see you.

B:___________________________________.

A: Thank you! Have a nice day too!

With your neighbor at the desk, compose one dialogue of 3-5 lines each according to the scheme to the topic of the lesson

 A: Greetings, question

B: Greetings, answer, question

A: Answer, question

B: Answer, question

A: Answer, question

B: Answer, question

A: Answer, question

B: Answer, farewell

A: Good day wishes, farewell

B: Good day wishes

Make a dialogue on the given situation: Your friend has a fight with his parents and wants to leave home and you have to talk him out of it and try to talk to his parents.
