Procedure
Presenter 1. Hello, our guests! Welcome to our party. We are going to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Student 1. THANKSGIVING DAY
Thanksgiving Day will soon be here. It comes around but once a year.
If I could only have my way, We’d have Thanksgiving every day.
Т for time to be together, turkey, talk, and tangy weather.
H for harvest, home, hearth, hugs and holiday.
A for autumn, art, and audience.
N for neighbours, and November.
К for kitchen, kiss.
S for seasons, songs.

Presenter 2. The year has turned its circle. The seasons come and go. – What seasons do you know? (students answers).
Presenter 1. Look at the pictures and guess ‘What season is it?” play a game (slide 2)

Presenter 2. Meet one of the months. We can`t celebrate without him this holiday.
Student 1. NOVEMBER
No sunshine, lots of rain, no warm days, snow again!
No bugs or bees, no leaves on the trees. You must remember This is Nоvember!
Presenter 1. Every week has 7 days. See how many you can say. (slide 4)
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. What day is it today? (answers – It’s Thursday).
Presenter 2. Let’s say “THURSDAY” three times - “THURSDAY”, “THURSDAY”, “THURSDAY”
Student 2. Thursday
Who called me? I am Thursday. Today is Thursday.
All day long, all day long. Yesterday was Wednesday. Tomorrow will be Friday. Oh what fun! Oh what fun!
Presenter 1. Look at the slide – symbols of thanksgiving.
СORNUCOPIA - is a horn, filled with: fruits and vegetables. It dates back to Greek times.
Ріг достатку - це ріг, наповнений фруктами та овочами. Походить з грецьких часів.
Presenter 2. Corn – It was the first plant, which Pilgrims grow on their fields. That’s why it’s became the first Thanksgiving meal.
Кукурудза – Пілігріми вперше посадили її на своїх полях. Ось чому, вона стала першої стравою
Presenter 1. Pumpkin - it is an autumn fruit. People prepare different dishes from it.
Гарбуз – осінній фрукт. Люди готують з нього різні страви.
Presenter 2. Beans - the Pilgrims plant beans next to the corn, so the beans could grow up along the stalks.
Боби ( пауза ) – пілігріми посадили боби поруч з кукурудзою, щоб вони могли рости на кукурузні стебла.
Presenter 1. Cranberries became a food after the people found mixing the fruit with brown sugar made for a very tasty dessert.
Журавлина – стала їжою після того, як змішали її з темним цукром, тим самим вийшов смачний десерт
Presenter 2. Turkey - The turkey is usually the main dish for dinner.
Індичка – є основною стравою для обіду
Presenter 1. The harvest is all gathered in. The fields are empty. Let’s solve the riddles

PUMPKIN. I am the biggest Pumpkin in America this year. Look at me. I am plump and ripe and I am very proud of myself. I am the Queen of autumn vegetables. My friend come to me.
TURKEY. Who am I? Do you know? Yes! (pupils) I am a traditional American bird. Roast Turkey is the main dish on many American holidays.
Student 3. Tell me, Mr. Turkey, Don’t you feel afraid
When you hear us talking about the plans we have made?
Student 4. Can’t you hear us telling
How we are going to eat
Cranberries and stuffing
With our turkey meat?
Student 5. Turkey, heed my warning:
Better fly away; Or you will be sorry On Thanksgiving day.
Student 6. I’m thankful, Thanksgiving, for good things to eat.
But mostly I’m thankful I still see my feet.

Ukrainian farmer. My name is … I’m a farmer. I live in Ukraine. That’s why I’m Ukrainian. I grow vegetables and fruits on the fields.
American farmer. My name is … I’m a farmer. I live in the USA. That’s why I’m American. I grow vegetables and fruits on the fields, too.
Presenter 1. Let’s dance and sing with these farmers together!
Student 1: I’m thankful for the daily food
Upon our table spread, For meat and milk and fruit so good,
For work that brings us bread.
Student 2: I’m thankful for each bird that sings,
For stars and waving trees, For colours which the autumn brings
And sounds and sights like these.
Student 3. I’m thankful for my bed and rest,
For dark when daylight ends; Of all my thanks, this is the best: For family and friends.
Student 4. Thanksgiving Prayer
I’m thankful for my mother, and my dad I’m thankful for brother and
For all the fun we have had. But most of all, I’m so thankful
Not to be a turkey – goble-goble – doo!
Presenter 1. Thanksgiving dinner is very important. All family sits at the table during dinner and communicate.
Student 5.
Mother makes the dinner. Grandma brings the pies.
Father carves the turkey. And I will tell you why.
Today is very special We’re thankful, so we say,
“Peace and love to everyone” It’s Thanksgiving Day!

Presenter 2. Say ‘thank you’ to your teacher, your mother and father, your granny and grandpa.
