P1: Good afternoon, dear friends! We are glad to see you today! We are going to celebrate Mother’s Day!

P2: Good afternoon, our dear Mothers! We have prepared this performance for you!

P7: She is everything for us when we are small...our lives revolve around her. For everything that we need we call mother.

P4: Today the festival of Mother’s day is celebrated across 46 countries (though on different dates). Origin of Mother's Day goes back to the era of ancient Greek and Romans. The earliest history of Mother’s Day dates back to the ancient annual spring festival the Greeks dedicated to maternal goddesses. The Greeks used the occasion to honor Rhea, wife of Cronus and the mother of many deities of Greek mythology. Ancient Romans, too, celebrated a spring festival, called Hilaria dedicated to Cybele, a mother goddess. 

 P5: But the roots of Mother's Day history can also be traced in the United Kingdom where a Mothering Sunday was celebrated much before the festival saw the light of the day in the USA.

P7: People take the day as an opportunity to pay tribute to their mothers and thank them for all their love and support.

P8: Millions of people across the globe take the day as an opportunity to honor their mothers, thank them for their efforts in giving them life, raising them and being their constant support and well wisher.

P9: Our dear mothers , we want to tell you how much you mean to us....But there are no words to say how much we admire you...how much we appreciate you...how much we thank you for everything you've done.

I may not always be good at showing it,

P10: A mother is famous because of her courage, stamina and love which is simply astounding. There are many famous mothers around the world who have made it big in their career despite of performing the role of a perfect mother. They have not just strove but have also carved a niche for themselves in their personal and professional life.

P11 : Marie Curie (1897-1956)

Marie Curie is a very good example of best moms around the world. She is remembered as the pioneer in researching radioactivity. Even after losing her husband, she worked stoically and set a world of her own with her daughter and work. She is the only Nobel Prize winner of her Nobel Prize winner daughter - Irene Joliot-Curie.

 

P12: Angelina Jolie

She is a blend of motherhood, talent and immense possession. Jolie is a woman who values her relationship and believes her children are the best thing ever happened to her. Angelina being a mother of two adopted kids; Maddox and Zahara and her own daughter Shiloh Nouvel (with partner Brad Pitt) feels life should be led by making own ways. She loves different elements of life and knows how to manage both work and family. Recently, the couple has adopted a Vietnamese kid named Pax Thien and increased their family size.

But I never really thought about what that meant

Till I got older and began to realize

How often your time and energy were devoted to me.

So now, for all the times I didn't say it before,

A small boy is sent to bed by his mother...

Five minutes later

"Mom..."

"What?"

"I'm thirsty. Can you bring me a glass of water?"

"No. You had your chance. Lights out."

Five minutes later

"Mom..."

"WHAT?"

"I'm THIRSTY...Can I have a glass of water?"

"I told you NO! If you ask again I'll have to spank you!!"

Five minutes later

"Mommm..."

"WHAT??!!"

"When you come in to spank me, can you bring me a glass of water?"

Grandma on the Plane

For two solid hours, the lady sitting next to a man on an airplane had told him about her grandchildren. She had even produced a plastic-foldout photo album of all nine of the children.

She finally realized that she had dominated the entire conversation on her grandchildren.

"Oh, I've done all the talking, and I'm so sorry. I know you certainly have something to say. Please, tell me... what do you think of my grandchildren?"

My Teacher is Thankful

Son: “Mom, teacher was asking me today, if I have any brothers or sisters who will be coming to school.”

Mom: “That’s nice of her to take such an interest in you. So what did she say when you told her that you’re the only child, my dear?”

Son: “She just said…“Thank goodness!”

It's Time to go to School

One early morning, a lady went in to wake up her son. "Wake up, son. It's time to go to school!"

Son: "But why Mom? I don't want to go."

Mom: "Give me two reasons why you don't want to go."

Son: "Well, the kids hate me for one, and the teachers hate me, too!"

Mom: "Oh, that's no reason to not to go to school. Come on now and get ready."

Son: "Give me two reasons why I should go to school."

Mom: "Well, for one, you're 52 years old. And for another, you're the Principal!"
