P1: Good afternoon dear guests and pupils! We are glad to see you here in our Assembly Hall! People cannot live without music. They listen to music, dance to music or learn to play musical instruments. There is music everywhere: at home, in a concert hall, in a park, at the seaside, in the forest and even in the street. Music is not only a combination of pleasant sounds. It is an art which reflects life. Music reflects people’s ideas and emotions. In this world of ours, filled with conflicts, tragedies, joys and hopes, music strives to speak to people of what is most important, urgent and poignant. Music in the life of different people is different: some compose music, others play music, and the others only listen to it. A lot of people who cannot play any musical instrument love to listen to music either at home or at a concert. Different people like different kinds of music.

Tell us please, what styles of music do you know? Учні називають ті стилі музики, що знають.

P2: I think that all of us like music. With the help of music we can express our thoughts and feelings; we can relax and have fun. Music helps us to understand the inner world of a person. Some people enjoy classical music, others prefer pop and rock. We propose you to watch and listen information about jazz. Let’s look at the screen.

P2: Among young people there are many fans who think that pop is better today than ever before. There are a lot of music stars in the whole world who represents different styles and images. Do you know the famous pop singers or pop stars? (учні називають відомих співаків)

P2: And now we have found an interesting information about pop  music.

P1: And now for you our pupils will sing a wonderful song “Хто як не ти…” Let’s listen it.

P2: Music is a universal language. It can arise various emotions. They depend on the musician, the listener and the number of other factors. It washes away the dust of everyday life from our souls. Let’s watch and try to guess what music children are dancing to.

P1: Of course…  You are right. It is HIP-HOP. And here is our third presentation.

P2: I propose you to have a rest. Would you like playing games? Let’s play the interesting game. (Гра вгадати стиль музики).

P1: The great popularity of ROCK music speaks for itself. It prevails in youth culture. Young people communicate through it, express their thoughts, hopes, dreams and joys. ROCK attracts many young people all over the world. Let’s have a talk about rock.

P2: Our classmate would like to play rock music for you. Let’ listen and try to guess what song is it? (Після гри на гітарі учні висловлюють свої припущення щодо назви пісні).

P1: Today, we get flooded with music. There are more records than anyone could even imagine. But the more possibilities there are, the more difficult it gets to find the real music experience. One of the most popular styles of nowadays is K-pop. Our pupils will perform some presentation of this music.
