I like smiles with healthy teeth,
I like bright colors and funny faces,
I like flowers- especially pansies.
I like the sun and a fresh air,

Then I like without any reason-

Besides, I don’t like either olives or beer.

From my student Nataly. Let’s read it and discuss.
Dear 8th formers of Mangush School #1! Learn English and enjoy life. The knowledge of English opens many doors to a beautiful word. 13 years have passed since my visit to the USA. I was lucky enough to experience American School System. A group of Mangush students went to America thanks to our English teacher Irina Georhievna on an Exchange Program.
We spent 20 days at River Hill High School in the state Maryland. Lessons start at 7-30 a.m. The School was beautiful, very well equipped with all modern technology, a science lab, a TV studio, an orchestra room, an Assembly Hall, a huge library with the internet. 1600 students from many countries get knowledge in different subjects. American schoolchildren have no uniform. Sport and clubs are very popular among them.
Children start primary school at the age of 6. Then at the age of 10 or 11 they go to a secondary School. Their working days are Monday till Friday. They may choose subjects at High School. They pass exams to get a Certificate at the end of school.
Dear friends! We lived in American families and communicated with American brothers and sisters. We travelled to Washington D.C., to New York, visited the White House, museums, malls, amusement parks.
English helped me to see another world and find a common language.
Good luck and best wishes to you all.
Yours Nataly Borush.
The children look at the photo display. You have known some interesting facts
about American school .One group will fill the table. Being in America we celebrated the Thanksgiving Day. Look at the poster, name the symbols, and
Sing a song “What did the Chicken Say on Thanksgiving Day?”
Everybody prepared a small gift for our guests. Give them, please.
11.T.-It is very important to learn English. Now let’s travel to Great Britain.
Open your textbooks on p.68. Look through the text and fill in the chart.
Group 2 works with the British school. Group3 writes about a typical
Ukrainian school. You may describe our Mangushschool. Work in groups and then compare schools in different countries.
