Мета:навчальна: систематизувати лексичний матеріал з теми «English-speaking countries»;

сприяти застосуванню граматичного матеріалу: вживання артиклю the з власними назвами; узгодження часових форм: Present Simple Tense, Past Simple Tense, Future Simple Tense, Present Perfect Tense, Present Continuous Tense;

 розширювати словниковий запас учнів;

продовжувати формувати навички усного мовлення;

ознайомити учнів з особливостями географічного положення та суспільного життя  англомовних країн: США, Великобританії;

розвиваюча: розвивати свідому трудову дисципліну, інтелектуальні, творчі здібності учнів, стимулювати активну пізнавальну діяльність;

розвивати слухову та зорову пам'ять, просторову уяву;

виховна:виховувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови та культур англомовних країн.

Тип уроку: закріплення та систематизація знань, умінь та навичок

Очікувані результати: Робота на уроці передбачає узагальнення лексико-граматичних знань учнів з теми «Подорож»; мотивацію школярів до самостійних висловлювань за запропонованою ситуацією; розвиток зорової та слухової пам’яті, фонетичного слуху та просторової уяви; виховання культури спілкування; розвиток предметних та ключових компетентностей.

Good morning, pupils! I’m glad to see you! Who is on duty today? Who is absent today? What is the date? What is the weather today? Do you like it?

 Our topic today is “So many countries so many cultures”. By the end of the lesson you will be able to review lexical material to the topic “Travelling”, grammar material: Present Simple Tense, Past Simple Tense, Future Simple Tense, Present Perfect Tense, Present Continuous Tense; using the definite article “the” with the proper name, speak about English-speaking countries

Travelling

 

Every year a lot of people all over the world spend their holidays travelling. They travel to see other countries and continents, to discover different ways of life, to meet different people and to practise foreign languages.

Today people have lots of good reasons to travel. Travelling has always been a part of people's education. The best way to study geography is to travel and the best way to get to know and understand the traditions and customs of different people is to speak to them. Besides, travelling is a good way to practise foreign languages.

Today tourism is the world's second largest industry. Tourism is industrialized: landscapes, cultures and cuisines are consumer goods displayed in travel leaflets.

Do you want to go somewhere? Hundreds of companies are there to help you. They will take care about your tickets and make all the reservations needed.
