Using songs in English lessons at the initial stage
Teaching English through playing activities is acknowledged to make the process of learning more intensive, more interesting and thus, motivating for young learners. However it doesn’t mean that teachers should use these activities abundantly. Children learn better if they are given a chance to make up and test hypotheses about the language they are acquiring. Consequently they should be given the opportunity to communicate in a foreign language with each other as well as with the teacher.
Using the elements of the intensive methods of teaching helps the teacher to bring such communication at the lesson. This method should become part and parcel of the whole course of teaching starting with elementary school.
Now let’s move on to the topic of using action songs. It’s very topical today.
The first song I’d like to illustrate is the song ‘’Good morning’’. Another variant is ‘’Hello, how are you’’. It’s a good sample of how to practice the patterns of greeting.

The next song I’d like to illustrate is the song, which helps the teacher to develop skills and habits in practical grammar ‘’Irregular Verbs’’.

Action songs with jumping, dancing, moving are used very often at the English lesson. This is very effective kind of work because the learners need a lot of joy, motion and fun. This is what they do all the time ‘’everywhere’’.

it’s very useful to sing such songs as P.T.breaks. we need them to motivate learning, to make our young learners successful in their studies.
The aim of such songs is to develop a sense of rhymes, to enjoy the music, to give the children a chance to ‘Let off steam’.
It’s necessary to specify that after singing such actions songs. It’s difficult to make children come down. But according to my experience in some minutes learners start working willingly.
In conclusion I’d like to draw your attention to the fact that cultural value of the songs is great.
