Позакласний захід з англійської мови для учнів 5-7 класів

Тема. The English Brain-ring. Form 5-7.

Мета: - повторити лексичний, граматичний, краєзнавчий матеріал з англійської мови, - розвивати усі види мовленнєвої діяльності, -  виховувати колективізм, згуртованість, прагнення перемогти.

Хід заняття (English part)

Вчитель вітає присутніх, журі, гравців.

Гравці займають місця за трьома столами (жеребкування).                                    Три команди: “Cats”, “Dogs”, “Rabbits”.

The 1^st game “Alphabet”.

1. One representative of each team tells the alphabet. (3 balls)
2. On the tables there are sheets of paper with the alphabet. Write one word to each letter in 3 minutes. (1 word=1 ball)

The 2^nd game “Questions-Answers”.

Match the questions with the correct answer on the cards.                                          (1 correct answer=1 ball)

Match the questions with the answers:

The 3^rd game “Literary”.

Recite the poems. The teams are given the sheets of paper with the  poems from their textbooks, e.g. “My name is Emily”.  (1 poem=5 balls)

The 4^th game “Situation”. (10 balls)

Act the situation out. (“At the café”, “In the street”, “On the telephone”)

The 5^th game “Great Britain”.

Every player has one chance to do one step. There is a picture “My House” on the blackboard. The player takes one card with the phrase and says “True” or “False”.

1. The president of England is Elisabeth II.
2. The colours of the British flag are red, dark blue and white.
3. Great Britain is an island.
4. The capital of Great Britain is London.
5. The capital of England is London.
6. The Thames is the river.
7. The United Kingdom consists of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
8. The national English game is hockey.
9. Tea time is usually at 12 o`clock.
10.  Football is very popular in England.
11.  William Shakespeare wrote “Romeo and Juliet”.
12.  Lunch is after breakfast.
13.  The English drink tea with milk.
14.  You can go around London by double-deckers.
15.  There 30 letters in English alphabet.
