«To England with love»

Тема: «To England with love».

Місце і час проведення:

Мета: 

• навчати учнів виявляти активність, показувати рівень своєї ерудиції;
• розвивати вміння монологічного мовлення, застосування знань з англійської мови на практиці; пам'ять, увагу;
• виховувати любов до мови, бажання досконало володіти нею.

Форма виховного впливу: вікторина.

Оформлення: плакат  «To England with love», таблиця успішності.

Обладнання: конверти з завданнями, коробочки з номерками, проектор, ноутбук, колонки.

Підготовчий етап:

• Підготувати дошку;
• Налаштувати проектор, підключити ноутбук;
• Підготувати місця для команд.

I. Вступна частина:

1. Вступне слово;
2. Поділ учнів на команди;
3. Представлення журі;
4. Представлення команд та капітанів.

II. Основна частина:

1. Гра «Topical vocabulary»;
2. Гра «Definitions»;
3. Гра «Quicker speaker»;
4. Гра «Secret Letter»;
5. Гра «Guess the movie.

III. Заключна частина:

1. Підрахування балів;
2. Оголошення переможців;
3. Заключне слово.

Хід заходу

I. Вступна частина:

1. Вступне слово:  Dear friends! Ladies and gentlemen! I'm very glad to meet you here, in this beautiful hall and to welcome you to the party “To England with Love”. Today we’ll speak English, listen English, play English jokes and games. In other words, we’ll enjoy the English language today. So, we begin.

2. Поділ учнів на команди:

Слово вчителя: Now I’ll present to you the participants of our party, the students of our school who like English and know it. So meet.

Now we are going to divide the participants into two teams. And that’s why I ask the participants to come out to my table and take a card (one or two) and then take their seats at the table (marked one or two).

3. Представлення журі:

Слово вчителя: So now we have two teams and I want to introduce our honorable jury who will judge today’s contest.

4. Представлення команд та капітанів:

Слово вчителя: Now you have to think of names for your teams and choose the captains. Is the task clear? You have just one minute for.

So, it is a high time for introducing our teams.

II. Основна частина:

1. Гра «Topical vocabulary»:

Слово вчителя: The first game is called «Topical vocabulary». The task is to give a word on the topic from the envelope. Your task is to give as many words as you can. The number of words equals the number of points.

Topic 1: School

Topic 2: Family

Topic 3: Environment

2. Гра «Definitions»:

Слово вчителя: The next game is called «Definitions». Each team will receive an envelope with words related to the topics that you learned. Select one representative from the team. Your task is to explain to the team the word indicated on the card. The number of guessed words is equal to the number of points.

Team 1: Flood, tsunami, grandmother, eggs, computer, self-portrait, sun, earthquake, flower, music.

Team 2: Draught, heat wave, grandfather, chicken, CD, landscape, moon, tree, movie, land slide.

3. Гра «Quicker speaker»:

Слово вчителя:  The next game is called «Quicker speaker». The task of the team is to say the tongue-twister best and as quickly as possible in chorus. Judges assess the speed, accuracy and clarity. Highest mark – 10 points.

She sells sea-shells on the sea-shore,

The shells she sells are sea-shells, I’m sure.

4. Гра «Secret Letter»:

Слово вчителя: The next game is called «Secret Letter».  Each team will receive an envelope with a puzzle. You must put it down and explain what event is on it.

Letter 1: Linguistic and literary event.

Letter 2: English lesson.

5. Гра «Guess the movie»:

Слово вчителя: The last game is called «Guess the movie».  Your task is to listen carefully and guess the film's title. All the films were taken from the list of your favorite movies. Each team will hear 5 films.

III. Заключна частина:

1. Підрахування балів.

2. Оголошення переможців.

3. Заключне слово:

Слово вчителя:  Today each of you could use his knowledge of English. I hope that you will continue to learn this language and it will become useful to you in the future. Thanks for your activity. I hope you had fun.
