Урок – подорож.

Тема: The world of animals.

Мета:                         1) НАВЧАЛЬНА:

•             активізувати навички вживання лексико-граматичного матеріалу теми                                                    «Animals»;
•             систематизувати знання учнів з теми;
•             формувати навички і уміння іншомовної мовленнєвої діяльності (аудіювання, говоріння, читання, письма);
•             складати діалоги, розказувати про свого домашнього улюбленця;

 

           2) РОЗВИВАЛЬНА:

-    розвивати інтонаційний слух, навички звуковимови, звуконаслідування,     здібність до імітації;

-    розвивати психічні процеси: пам’ять, увагу, уяву, творче мислення;

-  продовжувати роботу над формуванням вміння співпрацювати в колективі, в парах, в групах;

-    сприяти розвитку кмітливості, мовленнєвої здогадки;

 

            3) ВИХОВНА:

-    виховувати інтерес до вивчення і спілкування англійською мовою;

-    почуття відповідальності за колективну справу;

-   виховувати любов до тварин та природи.

Обладнання: картки з буквами, таблиці, малюнки тварин, іграшки, відеозаписи про тварин, презентація.

Procedure

1. Introduction.(1хв.)

T.: Good morning, children! Glad to see you. Today we are going to talk about life of animals and make an interesting traveling to the world of animals.

      II.      Warming up.(3хв.)

                    T.: Look at these sounds. Name them and read the words with these sounds. Try to find the names of animals.

                    T.: Play the game “Missing letters”

     III.      Main part.(40 хв.)

1. T.: Now we are ready to travel. We have the plan of traveling. Look at the board and be interested in different stations. But what do you need for a good travel – you are right – a good weather.

(Pupils describe the weather, 3 хв.)

2. T.: Let’s go children! And our first station is “The alphabet train” (5хвю)

(Matching. Teacher unites pupils into groups and gives the cards with letters and pictures).

3. T.: The second station is “Guess the animal”. Monkeys and cows are animals; they have tails and four legs. They are domestic and wild.

 a) Divide them into groups. (Teacher shows the pictures of animals.)

T.: What animal is it?

P1: It is a tiger. It is a wild animal.

T.: What animal is it?

P1: It is a pig. It is a domestic animal.

b) Guess the riddles.

I’m big. I’m grey.

My nose is long.

My tail is short. 

I’m an…(elephant).

 

It is a big animal.

It eats grass.

It gives milk.

What is it? (a cow)

 

It is brown.

It has got four legs.

It sleeps in winter.

What is it? (a bear)

 

It is green animal.

It can swim and jump.

It likes to eat flies.

What is it? (a frog)

 

4. T.: The next station is “The poetical station”. Let’s children remember the poems about animals.
5. T.: The other station is “Whose house is it?”(Writing). Some animals live in the zoo. They are wild animals. Some animals live on the farm. They are domestic. Try to fill the table. Work in groups.

Tiger, bear, cock, monkey, duck, goose, giraffe, cow, fox, horse, camel, pig, wolf, hen.

6. T.: “The playing station ” is interesting too. Animals like to play as people. Children, let’s do some exercises. (Physical warm-up).

T.: What can animals do?

P.: Go, swim, jump, run, fly, sit, stand, eat, play, look, sleep.

T.: What can people do else? 

P.: Smile, catch, draw, wash.

                 7.  T.:  I know you have got pets. Station “My favourite pet”.

                      1) Make up dialogues. Ask each other about your pet. (Pair work)

                        P1: Have you a pet?

                        P2: Yes, I have a cat.

                        P1: What is it’s name?

                        P2: My cat’s name is…

                        P1: How old is it? What color is it? Is it big? Is it nice?

 

                       2) Speaking. (Pupils tell about their pets)

                8. T.: At last you can visit our last station “Surprise”.

                      Watch video about animals. (Діти дивляться мультфільм про тварин)

       ІV. Summing up. Homework.

                    T.: Animals are our friends We have to take care of them. Our travel is over. Draw your favourite pet at home. Good bye, children.
