Урок з англійської мови у 8 класі на тему : «Почуття та емоції»

Тема : Feelings and emotions

Мета: навчати іншомовного спілкування;

     -  ввести та  активізувати вживання тематичних лексичних одиниць у мовленні, розвивати мовну і слухову пам'ять, розвивати творчі здібності учнів, сприяти розвитку мовної здогадки

   - формувати й удосконалювати вміння та навички сприйняття на слух;  удосконалювати навички усного продукування та усної взаємодії

- розвивати вміння ефективно працювати в групах

- вчити учнів толерантності

Обладнання:

Мультимедійна дошка, ноутбук, аркуші паперу, маркери, карточки з завданнями

Тип уроку: урок ознайомлення з новим матеріалом

Хід уроку:

І Підготовка до сприйняття  іншомовного мовлення

 1 Greeting and introducing the topic of the lesson

2 Warmer

1.Ask students if they can think of any adjectives in English that express feelings. They should write them in pairs in 1 minute. Students take turns to say the written words.

2. To know the students better, ask them to make the line From Always to Never asking each other the question HOW often do you talk about your emotions and feelings with yourclose people? and find their place in the line

II Основна частина уроку

1 . Go through the Vocabulary table with the class. Students check the meaning the words in the dictionary if they need.

2. In pairs, students classify the adjectives from the table as positive, negative or neutral. Discuss the answers with the class.

3.  In groups of four, students work in cards and  match the sentences to the new feeling adjectives and write down the answers

1. I was really worried, but now everything is OK.
2. When someone has solved a problem for you, you feel…..
3. When the Science teacher asked about the water on the curtains, Ann looked a bit ….
4. It`s not fair! Why can`t I have that?
5. My exam starts in two minutes! Help!
6. I didn`t get a job, so I feel ….

Answers: 1. Relieved 2. Grateful 3. Guilty 4. Jealous 5.Nervous 6. Disappointed /upset

Relaxation Break Students mime their emotions and feelings in different situations from the cards (before a test, when they get a surprise, when they speak in front of a large group of students, have an argument with parents)

Speaking: Students answer the questions:

1.How are the small birds going at the beginning of the story? Glad/excited/ surprised

2. How do they feel when the big bird has flown? Surprised/interested/

3. What about the felling of the big bird? Glad/relaxed

4. Were they friendly?

5. How do the small birds feel at the end of the cartoon? Embarrased/confused

6. What phrase is the best for this cartoon:

- To throw a stone in one`s own garden ( right answer)

-Lend your money and lose your friends

5. Students play the game “My Mystery Word”. They make some sentences with the vocabulary of the lesson and write them.

 For example I feel nervous when I have a test. Then a student says:  My mystery word is orange and reads the sentence replacing the words: I feel orange when I have a test. Other students listen and should guess the word.

2. Ask them to draw the emotions on the piece of paper and stick to the board.
