Ознайомити з новою лексикою теми. Удосконалювати техніку читання та   навички усного мовлення.

Розвиваюча:

Розвивати комунікативні вміння учнів та  вміння діалогічного мовлення,

ерудицію учнів.

Виховна:

Виховувати інтерес до музики.

Тип уроку: введення нової лексики.

Обладнання: Підручник, картки для роботи в парах, з текстом для читання «Types of Music», картки  для виконання домашнього завдання , ноутбук, мультимедійна дошка, презентація, записи музики різних стилів.

T: Today we are going to start the new topic — «Music» and speak about different music types.

Look at pictures and say what music people in them are playing. Label them with word - combinations below and say which music style is to your liking(classic music-rap-choir-hard rock - jazz)

Потім учитель включає учням записи різних музичних стилів, а учні мають назвати ці стилі англійською.

Завдання учнів — якомога швидше скласти три діалоги з шести

карток. Перемагає пара, яка першою виконає завдання. Потім учні в парах інсценують діалоги.

TYPES OF MUSIC

Music, like language, is a uniquely human form of communication. As with language, there are many different kinds. In North America, people listen to jazz, rock, classical, folk, country, and many other kinds of music. Each kind of music has its own rules and «speaks» to us in its own way.

Country music is from America. It’s sometimes called bluegrass or mountain music. Each song tells a story about modern life, love and feelings. Musicians play the banjo, and sometimes the violin or harmonica. Famous country singers are Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson.

Celtic music is the traditional music of Celtic people — people of Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The song tell us funny or sad stories. Some have no words at all. In Celtic music you can hear violins, drums and guitars. Two famous Celtic bands are «Clannad» and «The Chieftains».

Reggae music comes from Jamaica in the Caribbean. It’s called the music of the poor, because the songs are about the problems people have. The main instrument is the electric bass. Musicians also play the piano, drums and the guitar. Some famous reggae bands are «The Wailers», «UB40» and «The Maytals».

T: Listen to the dialogue and tick the type of music you’ll hear. Then complete the dialogue on your cards with the types of music.

Учні слухають діалог і позначають «» ті музичні стилі, що були згадані в діалозі.

Потім вдруге слухають діалог і доповнюють речення на картках назвами музичних стилів. По закінченні роботи дві - три пари інсценують діалоги перед класом.

— It’s really good.

— Yes, they are my favourite band. They are from Ireland.

— No, I can’t stand techno! I’m crazy about rock and heavy metal.

— Do you like Kiss?

— I think they are great!

— Really? I’ve got two tickets to their concert on Saturday. Would you like to go?

— I’d love to!
