Topic Health and body care. At the doctor’s

Objectives:

  • review vocabulary and do exercises
  • practice phrases with feel, have got, broken hurts
  • practice give an advice (should)
  • speak on the topic using active vocabulary
  • make up dialogues

  1. Greeting

-Good morning, my dear friends! I’m glad to see you! Sit down, please. How are you today?

2.Aim.

 

 - Children, today we go on speaking about health and illness. As you see it’s a  really interesting topic. And by the end of today’s lesson you should be able to:

  • revise the vocabulary to the topic
  • talk about different symptoms
  • make up dialogues “At the doctor’s”

3.Warm-up.

The world is full of wonders. You are quite. Your brain relaxes. There is calm in your body. You are relaxing. You love your relatives. You can do anything. You have much energy. You are in good spirits. Open your eyes.

7.Speaking practice

a) Complete the dialogue with the questions a-e.

 

b). Work in groups.

Now we’ll work in groups. You’ll give advice to your friends.
You are divided into two groups.
Each group has a card with a task. Discuss the problem and write down the resolution.

         Group 1: Your friend has got a cold. Write what he should do and shouldn’t do.

Group 2: Your friend has got a stomachache. Write what he should do and shouldn’t do.

Homework.

        -Write a dialogue like the one in lesson’s exercises. Use different symptoms from the table.

  13. Summarizing.

     - Let’s sum up our work.

      -All of you have worked hard today. During the lesson you had chance to know about eating habits and eating habits of your classmates.
