Тема: “The Internet”

Мета уроку:

Практична:

• Актуалізувати лексику за темою.
• Практикувати учнів у вживанні тематичної лексики.
• Розвивати компетенції аудіювання, читання, письма та усного мовлення.

Освітня:

• Поглибити знання про Інтернет та його використання в повсякденному житті.

Розвиваюча:

• Розвивати комунікативну компетенцію, включаючи вміння взаємодіяти з оточуючими.
• Розвивати мовну здогадку, уяву, пам’ять, увагу, творчість.
• Розвивати навички монологічного та діалогічного мовлення.

Виховна:

• Виховувати відповідальне ставлення до використання Інтернету.
• Виховувати критичне мислення щодо інформації, отриманої з Інтернету.

Обладнання: Екран, ноутбук, проектор, слайд-шоу “Internet”, роздатковий матеріал (lexical cards), тематичні картинки, підручник для 6 класу О. Карпюк – Тернопіль : «Видавництво Астон», 2014р.

Очікувані результати: Навчитися розповідати про свої улюблені веб-сайти, задавати питання та давати на них відповіді, використовуючи лексичні одиниці та вивчений граматичний матеріал теми.

Хід уроку

І. Початок уроку

1. Організаційний момент.

Привітання. (Greeting)

T: Good morning, everybody! How are you today? Are you in a good mood? I hope you are excited because our topic today is very interesting. Let’s start our lesson. We have some guests in the classroom, so let’s impress them with our knowledge!

2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку. (Aim)

T: Today we are going to talk about the Internet. We’ll discuss different aspects of using the Internet, learn some new vocabulary, and practice using the Past Simple tense. By the end of the lesson, you will be able to talk about your favorite websites and how you used the Internet in the past.

T: Now I want you to answer my questions about your Internet usage.

• What websites do you like to visit? (YouTube, Instagram, Wikipedia, etc.)
• What do you usually do online? (watch videos, chat with friends, play games, etc.)
• How often do you use the Internet? (every day, twice a week, etc.)
• Do you use the Internet for schoolwork? How?
• What are some dangers of using the Internet?

T: Your home task was to find some interesting information about your favorite websites. Are you ready? Let’s start.

P1: My favorite website is YouTube. I watch many different types of videos, such as educational videos, music videos, and funny videos. I also learn how to cook new recipes from YouTube.

P2: I like Instagram. I follow many interesting people and celebrities. I also share photos and stories with my friends.

P3: Wikipedia is my favorite website. I use it to find information for my school projects. It has articles on almost every topic.

2. Аудіювання (Listening Comprehension)

Учні слухають текст і дивляться слайд-шоу, потім відповідають на запитання вчителя і виконують завдання на картках.

A. Let’s watch a slide show “Internet” and listen to the text at the same time.

Popular activities on the Internet include browsing websites, sending emails, using social media, and streaming videos. The Internet has revolutionized the way we live and work, making information more accessible and communication faster.

B. Answer the questions:

3. Подання граматичного матеріалу: Past Simple Tense

T: Today we will learn about the Past Simple tense. It is used to talk about actions that happened at a specific time in the past. Let’s look at the formation and some examples.

Formation:

• Regular verbs: add -ed to the base form (play - played, watch - watched)
• Irregular verbs: use the second form of the verb (go - went, see - saw)

Examples:

• I visited a new website yesterday.
• She watched a video on YouTube last night.
• They went online to do their homework.

T: Now let’s practice.

Exercise 1: Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs in Past Simple.

5. Розвиток компетенції говоріння (Speaking)

Рольова гра. Учні працюють у парах: один з них уявляє себе іноземцем, який запитує українця про його досвід користування Інтернетом. Дві-три пари демонструють свої діалоги.

T: A guest from an English-speaking country is visiting you. He/She is interviewing you about your experience with the Internet.

Dialogue 1.

Guest: As you know, I’ve come from England and want to know more about how you use the Internet. What is your favorite website? Pupil: My favorite website is YouTube. I watch many different types of videos there. Guest: How often do you use the Internet? Pupil: I use the Internet every day, mostly for schoolwork and entertainment. Guest: Do you think the Internet is useful for studying? Pupil: Yes, it is very useful. I can find a lot of information and watch educational videos.

T: You have cards on your desks. Here are some common ideas about the Internet. Your next task is to match words with the correct definitions, read them and discuss.
