The topic of today's lesson is "Food". We'll talk about how to order meals or to cook your favorite dish. Besides, you'll extend active and passive knowledge of vocabluary and talk about Ukrainian traditional meals. By the end of lesson you should be able to talk about how to cook dinner, how to cook, your favourite dish using the topical words also, I'd like to get you acquinted with the origin of the most popular dishes.

The group prepared project work "Ukrainian traditional food".
Teacher: Ukrainian people like tasty food and women in our country can cook tasty things.
Student 1: Uzvar is made of dried apples, pears, sherries, plums, raisins and water with honey.
Student 2: Kytya is made of wheat or rice with much sugar or honey, nuts, raisins or poppy seeds.
Student 3: Ukraine enjoys a variety of traditional cookery: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Breakfast is a simple meal of bread and butter. Lunch may consist of a fish dish, a salad or a vegetable. Dinner is the main meal and guests are treated wath great hospitality.
Student 4: The traditional Ukrainian food includes hot borsch, kasha, mlyntsi, pyrohy and varenyky.
Student 5: The ingredients of hot borsch are beef, tomato sauce, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onion, celery, beet, sour cream, salt.
Student 6: The other food is kasha. You may put eggs, butter, salt and pepper into it.
Student 7: I like mlyntsi best of all. I make it of wheat flour, yeast, sugar, salt, milk, butter, eggs, sour cream.
Student 8: My mother cooks pyrohy every weekend. The takes flour salt, sour cream, eggs, onion, pepper, dill weed.
Student 9: Is for varenyks. All members our family enjoy eating them. We like them with curds and potatoes. We eat pyrishky, golubtsi, pampushky.
Student 10: Deruny is a traditional dish made of potatoes. Deruny are small potatoe pancakes fried in oil. We eat deruny with sour cream.
