Цілі заняття:

1.        Активізувати вживання в мові студентів тематичної лексики.
2.        Розвивати навички діалогічного мовлення, монологічного спонтанного мовлення.
3.        Практикувати студентів в аудіюванні.
4.        Ознайомити студентів з утворенням теперішнього перфектного часу та активізувати його вживання у мові, тренувати студентів у вживанні граматичних структур у цьому часі.
5.        Ознайомити зі звичаями та традиціями української кухні, виховувати цивілізовану особистість, сприяти розвитку культури спілкування, почуттів і поведінки, виховувати поважне ставлення до традицій свого народу.

 

Види заняття: урок засвоєння та удосконалення знань, умінь та навичок.

Методи навчання: бесіда дискусійного характеру; парна, групова та індивідуальна робота, рольова гра.

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення: Повідомлення теми та мети заняття.

Good morning, dear boys and girls. I am glad to see you. Sit down, please.

The topic of today's lesson is "Food". We'll talk about how to order meals or to cook your favorite dish. Besides, you'll extend active and passive knowledge of vocabluary and talk about Ukrainian traditional meals. By the end of lesson you should be able to talk about how to cook dinner, how to cook, your favourite dish using the topical words also, I'd like to get you acquinted with the origin of the most popular dishes.

ІІ. Введення в іншомовну атмосферу.

                1.Recite the poet "The food I like".

On Sunday SI like meat and chips

On Monday bread and cheese

On Tuesday coca cola and pizza

On Wednesday is spaghetti

And on Thursday eggs and fish

On Friday I like sandwiches

And ice-cream on a dish

Bat Saturday is my favourite dish

Oh, yes, it's very nice

On Saturday it's chicken

Salad, bread and rice.

Student 1: I have three meals: breakfast dinner and supper,

Teacher: What is your typical breakfast?

Student 2: I like a slice of bread with some butter and a cup of tea.

Student 3: But I like some porridge for breakfast.

Teacher: What is your favourite food?

Student 4: I like pizza.

Student 5: I prefer the fried potatoes and a bottle of Cola.

Teacher: Can you cook?

Student 6: Yes, we can.

Teacher: Does your mother have a cookery book?

Student 7: Yes, the does.

ІV. Узагальнення і систематизація знань. Розвиток навичок усного мовлення.

1. Перевірка проектного завдання. Презентація проектів.

The group prepared project work "Ukrainian traditional food".

Teacher: Ukrainian people like tasty food and women in our country can cook tasty things.

Student 1: Uzvar is made of dried apples, pears, sherries, plums, raisins and water with honey.

Student 2: Kytya is made of wheat or rice with much sugar or honey, nuts, raisins or poppy seeds.

Student 3: Ukraine enjoys a variety of traditional cookery: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Breakfast is a simple meal of bread and butter. Lunch may consist of a fish dish, a salad or a vegetable. Dinner is the main meal and guests are treated wath great hospitality.

Student 4: The traditional Ukrainian food includes hot borsch, kasha, mlyntsi, pyrohy and varenyky.

 Student 5: The ingredients of hot borsch are beef, tomato sauce, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onion, celery, beet, sour cream, salt.

 Student 6: The other food is kasha. You may put eggs, butter, salt and pepper into it.

Student 7: I like mlyntsi best of all. I make it of wheat flour, yeast, sugar, salt, milk, butter, eggs, sour cream.

Student 8: My mother cooks pyrohy every weekend. The takes flour salt, sour cream, eggs, onion, pepper, dill weed.

Student 9: Is for varenyks. All members our family enjoy eating them. We like them with curds and potatoes. We eat  pyrishky, golubtsi, pampushky.

Student 10: Deruny is a traditional dish made of potatoes. Deruny are small potatoe pancakes fried in oil. We eat deruny with sour cream.

Work in pairs. Talk with   you friend. Discuss the questions:

2. What breakfast (lunch, dinner, supper) time in Ukraine?
3. What do you usually have for breakfast (dinner, supper)?
4. What are your favorite dishes?
5. What are your favorite drinks?
6. What are Ukrainian popular dishes?
7. What do you like to drink after breakfast and after dinner?
8. Are you a good or a poor eater?

VІ. Рольова гра-імітація "У ресторані". Драматизація діалогів.

Waiter: Hello, nice to see you. How are you?

Girl: can you give me the menu to look in?

 Waiter: Yes, please. You can order everything you like. We shall be glad to serve you.

Boy: I rooned like to eat fruits you care with tea.

Waiter: Do you like strong tea or weak tea?

Girl: strong, please, with lemon.

Boy: And I want to drink a bottle wine, red, please.

 Waiter: Yes, I'll be in some minutes.

  Boy: Write out the bill, and we shall pay at once.

  Boy 1: I cup of coffee, please.

  Boy 2: Tea for me, please.

  Waitress: One tea and one coffee.

  Boy 2: Why do you always drink coffee?

  Boy 1: Hot always. Sometimes I drink tea. Do you always drink tea?

  Boy 2: Sometimes I drink coffee. But I prefer tea.

 

Waiter: Hello, I'm your waiter. Can I help you?

 Boy: Yes, please. I'd like some pizza and a salad.

Waiter: I'm sorry, but we don’t have any pizza today.

Boy: Then I have some spaghetti.

Waiter: Tine. Would you like anything to drink?

Boy: Yes, some fresh orange juice, please.

 

Waiter: Good afternoon, have you a reservation?

 Student 1: Yes, we have. We booked a table by telephone.

Waiter: Oh, yes. You are by yourself?

 Student 1: No, I am with my group mates. 

 Waiter: Woned you like this table by the window?

Student 2: Tine, thank you.

Waiter: Here, is the many.

Student 3: Let's choose tasty courses.

Waiter: What would you like to start with?

Student 3: I think we shall have oxtail soup.

Waiter:  Yes, and what would you like to follow. I'd recommend the roast beef.

Student 3: What sounds very nice? Yes, fish, a multon,chop, water.

 Student 2: Oh, zephyr and peaches, grapes.

 Waiter: Would you like roast potatoes.

Student 2: No, thank you.

Waiter: What would you like for dessert?

Student 3: Oh, no dessert. Just coffee, please.

Student 2: But I want to have dessert. An ice-cream, please and coffee biscuits with raisins, oranges, sweets.

Student 1: Are you so hungry?

Student 2: Oh, no I am not hungry, you see, I don’t ant much.

Student 1: I see.

Student 3: Winter will you bring me the bill at once?

Waiter: Certainly.

 Ознайомлення з граматичним матеріалом. Утворення стверджувальної, заперечної, питальної форм. Вживання скороченої форми даного часу.

ІХ. Рефлексія

Oral practice.

Work in groups. The creative task ''Lay the table"

Three students listen to the teacher's instructions and try to lay the table. Other members of group help them. Then students must discus be their work.

We have to put the o plate on the napkin. The knife must be? To the right hand of your plate, fork – to the left hand of it.  The table, spoon is for porridge must be near the knife. The cup with, tea spoon is from the right side but the, glass for, juice   is from the left side. The plate for bread is in the middle of the table. Salt is in the middle of the table.
