Great Britain final lesson

Materials:

Video, pictures related to the topic , paper , markers , PPT Presentation

Aims:

-to provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation and discussion in the context of Britain.

-to develop critical thinking

Objectives:

Students will be able to

- participate in discussion and  compare facts

- practice fluent speaking

-  express their ideas about the places of interests of  Ukraine

- identify new inform and reproduce it in speaking and writing a letter.

Procedure

Today we are having an unusual lesson … I propose you to travel to Britain.

If you had a possibility to visit this country, what place would you like to visit and why ?...........So , Let’s work in pairs (discussion)

 now unite into groups of 4, But unfortunately you can choose only one place to visit (answers)

We have learnt much about Britain so ,  I propose you to watch authentic video about Britain (10 top facts) , but before we start watching it, I ask you to predict the main facts about Britain

• To write the fact and to explain why do you think such  (group work and discussion) 

While watching a video – you can make  notes …

Let’s compare whose instruction was better., Which team guess more facts ?(discussion)

Which facts were the most interesting and surprising for you; why ?(discussion)

The next task is to say if these statements are true or false (pair work)

I can say that your intuition is rather good, so if you had a possibility to make your own video about Ukraine, what facts would you choose? Why?(individual work)

H/w….  We’ve learnt much about Britain. But we live in Ukraine…and our country is the best one. Imagine that your friend is going to visit Ukraine. What places would you recommend him/her to visit? (write a letter) So, you should remember east or west home is best
