Objectives:

to revise the letters ‘A a – Z z’;

to revise and practise structures (“Нello”, “Goodbye”, “I’m…”, “Who is he\she?”, “He\She is…”, “Nice to see you again”);

to develop Ps’ listening and speaking skills.

Vocabulary: ABC

Structures: “Нello”, “Goodbye”, “I’m…”, “Who is he\she?”, “He\She is…”, “Nice to see you again”;

Materials: PB, flashcards, ball.

Outcomes: by the end of the lessons Ps will be able to ask and answer the questions using the phrase “Who is he\she?”, “He\She is…” and sing the song.

1. Warming up

Game “Ball”

Throw the ball to several pupils and say “Hello! I’m… Nice to see you again”. Encourage pupils do the same.

2. Presentation

Ex. 1, p. 4 – listen and repeat.

Introduce the book. Get Ps to open their books on page 4. Talk with Ps what they can see in the pictures. After that explain them that they should listen to the audio and repeat it.

3. Practice 

Ex. 2, p. 4 – point, ask and answer.

Choose a P and tell your P that he \ she should ask: “Who is he \ she?” and another P should answer: “He \ She is…”

Exercise with Panda

Say Ps that they are going to do exercise looking on the cards. You should show cards and tell what they have to do.

Ex. 3, p. 5 – listen and sing

Get Ps to open their books on page 5. Ask your Ps to listen to the audio. Play the Audio (Unit-1-les-1-3). Play the audio again and get Ps to repeat.

Ask Ps to say the alphabet from Aa to Zz.
