Topic: The importance of sport

Overview: : In this lesson about sport, students compare different sports and learn new words, practice listening, reading and speaking skills.  They also watch a video and discuss the importance and benefits of doing sport.

Aims:

-         to revise and enrich lexical material  of the topic;

-         to present new vocabulary on the topic;

-         to develop reading, speaking, listening and writing skills;

-         to develop pupils’ thinking, memory, imagination, attention, interaction and creativeness;

-         to motivate learners to exchanging opinions.

Outcomes:

Pupils will be able to

-talk about various sports;

-exchange their opinions;

- improve their reading, speaking, listening and writing skills;

-prove the importance of sports;

-get more motivation to practice sports and have healthy lifestyle.

Digital literacy:  They will develop the ability to  understand, evaluate and organize information.

Autonomy: Pre-lesson task.  Self-assessment.
