Мета:  формувати лексичні навички й навички вимови;

             Вдосконалювати навички читання й усного мовлення;

              Розвивати мовну здогадку й мовленнєву реакцію учнів;

              Розвивати ерудицію учнів;

              Прищеплювати усвідомлення важливості правильного харчування для здоров’я людини; виховувати зацікавленість у розширенні своїх знань.

                                      Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

1. Привітання

T: Good morning, children! How are you getting on?

2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку

T: Today we’ll start discussing the topic “Food” and will speak about British meals. We’ll also compare cuisine in Britain with the cooking style of our country.

3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу

1) Do you always have three meals a day?

2) What’s your favourite meal of the day?

3) Do you prefer meals alone, with one other person or lots of people?

4) What do you think of the meal times in different countries that are different from your meal times?

II. Основна частина уроку

1. Впр.1 С. 86
2. Впр. 2. С.86. Учні в парах протягом 3 хвилин складають список продуктів харчування, які можуть пригадати. Потім порівнюють свій список зі списками інших пар.
3. Учні дивляться презентацію: називають страви та повідомляють, чи подобаються їм ці страви й чому. Учитель стежить за правильністю вимови слів.
4. Впр. 3 с.89 . Read the article and name:

-         All the meal times in Britain

-         The ingredients of Christmas Pudding

Give English equivalents to the following words:

Для розмаїтості, страви, компот, проста їжа (без гарніру), біфштекси, відбивні, смажена в духовці яловичина, смажена риба (на сковороді), дуже любити щось, шинка, копчений оселедець, консервований лосось, особливі страви, борошно, родзинки, смородина, цукати, рублений мигдаль та волоські горіхи, розмішувати, збивати, зберігати, розігрівати.

5. Listening. Listen to the information from the internet and say why British Sunday lunch is so important to British people. How do courses vary according to the seasons?

British Sunday lunch is also knows as Sunday Roast and is the very heart of British food and cooking. It is the time when families or friends get together no matter how busy the week has been, to share good food. For the cook in the house the roast recipes along with all those Sunday lunch recipes, takes some putting together but the effort is worth it.

A traditional British Sunday lunch is roast meat with roast beef top of the list – pork, lamb or chicken are also popular – Yorkshire Puddings, gravy, vegetables and a pudding in the cold months and a dessert in the summer.

T: What topic did we start discussing today? What did we read about? What new words have you learned? Say one word denoting a British course.

2.     Game “What Food is it?” Ведучий (учитель або один з учнів) робить повідомлення про якийсь продукт харчування. Учні ставлять ведучому загальні запитання, намагаючись з’ясувати, який продукт харчування він має на увазі. Той, хто відгадує, займає місце ведучого. Наприклад, ведучий загадує масло.

Leader: this food is very fat. We usually have it with bread.

P1: Is it a meat product?

Leader: No.

P2: Is it a milk product?

Leader: No.

P3: Is it yellow?

Leader: Yes.

P4: Is it cheese?

Leader: No.

P5: Is it sweet?

Leader: No.

P6: Is it salty?

Leader: Sometimes.

P7: Is it butter?

Leader: Yes, it is!
