How do you fell today?
There is one thing in our life that is the most important and the most precious. What is it? How do you think? Yes, it’s HEALTH. (it appears on the screen) But sometimes we feel ourselves bad, we have a terrible headache and so we need go to the doctor. The topic of our lesson is “Health care”. Let’s start our lesson.

Look at the screen. There is a short verse about Monday morning. Try to pronounce all the sounds correctly. I’ll read you first sentence by sentence and you’ll repeat after me. Well done. Let’s read one by one. Good job.
If you want to live a healthy way,
Eat five fruits and vegetables every day.
Have juice breakfast, carrots with lunch,
Grapes for a snack (eat a big bunch),
Peas and potatoes with your dinner –

Your home task for today was to prepare some cards for healthy bingo in your exercise books. (ex. 2 p. 108) and retell the words. Let’s play a game. There are some rules at page 108. I’ll take a card and tell you what it shows. When the word is on your bingo card put a symbol on its square. The first person with 3 symbols in a row wins. Let’s start. Well done.

2.2.1. Look at the screen. There are some pictures. Let’s name these illnesses: toothache, cough, runny noze, fever, headache. One picture will disappear on the screen your task will be to guess which one.

2.2.2. Look at your desks. There is a task on it. You need to look, read and put the sentences in order. Do it by yourself. You have 2 minutes. Your time is over. Let’s check it.

4. “Ouch!” shouted Harry.
5. The doctor looked at his arm.
6. “Your arm is OK”, the doctor smiled.
2.2.2. Playing a game (What pain do you have)
It’s clear that sometimes something may hurt you. Let’s show which pain do you have and others will guess which pain the person has got. There are some useful phrases for you on the screen.

2.3.1. If you feel bad you’d better some useful phrases to inform others about it. Look at the screen. Choose the correct item. But first write down the date and then our exercise.
1. She’s not looking very well/ health.
2. He was feeling /feel ill.
3. He looked pale and well/ ill.
4. The doctor checked / prescribed me the medicine and told to stay / fall in bed for three days.
5. My head hurts. I have a headache/toothache.

2.3.2. Match the words and the descriptions:
I think that you use some words from the topic correctly, but let’s check it better. So there are some tasks on your desks, so you need to match them with the description. You may write on your cards. Let’s do it all together.
1.Hospital. a) A person who takes care of sick and old people.
2. Pill. b) A person who treats people’s teeth.
3. Doctor. c) A sheet of paper with the help of which we take medicine at the chemist.
4. Prescription d) A person who gives us medical help
5. Health. e) A place where we get medical help.
6. Ambulance. f) Small round things that we take to recover.
7. Dentist g) A state of being well.
8. Nurse h) А саг that takes a patient to the hospital.

Look at the screen. There are some sentences. Your task is to choose the most appropriate variant: should or shouldn’t. So, give useful advices to others.
1. You ... eat vegetables and fruit.
2. You ... drink hot milk and honey.
3. You ... eat unfresh food.
4. You ... sleep 8 hours a day.
5. You ... get wet in rainy weather.
6. You ... do morning exercises.
7. You ... walk too much in cold weather.

2.6.1. Let's say what is right and what is wrong? You may see two columns on the blackboard: good and bad habits. There are coloured words on your desks. Hang the correct variants there.

2.6.2. Work in groups. Creating the dialogue
Ex. 5 p. 122
It useful to know how to ask for help. Let’s create the dialogue as in the example you can see. Open your books at page 122, ex. 5. There are answers for A and for B.
On the slide (Lera will do ex. 4 p. 60 in her workbook. Circle the words which goes with the picture.
2.6.3. Let’s watch a short scene of visiting a doctor for you to be able to use some of the phrases in future. Some of you had to learn and act the dialogue out.

Doctor: How can I help you?
Patient: I don’t feel well.
Doctor: In what way?
Patient: I have a constant headache and I am always tired.
Doctor: Have you vomited?
Patient: No, but I have no appetite.
Doctor: Do you have a temperature?
Patient: Yes, sometimes I feel hot and sometimes I feel cold.
Doctor: Do you have a runny nose?
Patient: Yes, I do.
Doctor: It sounds like you have flu.
Patient: OK. What medicine do you prescribe me?
Doctor: This is your prescription. Take one tablet three times a day after meals for 5 days and get lots of rest.
And now let’s choose and point the phrases you could hear while listening. You may see them on the blackboard.

Are you good at listening? Let’s check it. You have cards with the dialogues, but sentences are in the wrong order. Look them through. You need to put them into the proper order. And now listen to the dialogue attentively. Are you ready with the task? Who will be the first? Well done.
2.2.1. Look at the poster. There you can see some words closely connected with health care. So, find them. Use the marker to cross the words you have found out. How many can you find?

And now we may sum up our lesson and will revise some English proverbs using our knowledge from the topic.
