Nowadays e-books become more popular and more popular. The number of people who use this gadget in their everyday life is increasing day by day. They use it at home, at work and on holidays. It is very convenient to read e-books while travelling or having a rest on the beach. But is it a good idea to introduce e-books in schools instead of common text books?

The greatest advantage of this device is that it is rather light and space saving. Another good point of using e-books is that they are easy to read and work with as they offer different options. You may highlight the main ideas, make some notes within the text or extend the script, if you need. Moreover, if you are busy or too tired to read, you may listen to any item as an audio material.

But in spite of all their benefits, e-books have some major drawbacks. The main disadvantage is that they are rather expensive, and not every pupil can afford to buy them. It is also true that e-books are not so efficient when used in cold temperatures. They need to be recharged every day which may cause some problems during a lesson.

To make matters worse , these books are rather harmful for our eyes and may cause some health problems.

To sum up, e-books offer a more comfortable and easy wat to read, but on the other hand, their high price and harmful effect on man`s health make it possible to use them in school on a mass scale.
