Тема: «Будова та типи автомобілів»

Мета:

• виховувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням;
• згуртувати студентів в одну команду;
• виховувати любов до майбутньої професії;
• розвивати навички читання професійних текстів;
• розвивати особисту активність студентів;
• прищеплювати вміння аналізувати, думати.

Форма проведення: квест.

Місце проведення: аудиторії Іноземних мов (55, 56, 64), бібліотека, спортивна зала.

Обладнання:

• маршрутні листи;
• комп’ютер.

Учасники заходу:

• Команда А;
• Команда В.

Викладач 1. – We are glade to meet you on our competition. Today you are going to show your knowledge not only in English language, but also in your special disciplines.

Викладач 2. – And now, get the maps and guess where is each station located. Then follow your map and do the tasks in each station. The winner is the team, which will get the best score.

(Студенті отримують маршрутні листи, де зашифровані станції для виконання завдань, і починають змагання. Маршрути побудовані таким чином, що команди не будуть заважати одна одній, а в кінці зустрінуться в одній аудиторії)

Станція 2. - Translate the text

The automobile is made up of three basic parts: the power plant, or the engine, the chassis and the body.

The engine is the source of power that makes the wheels rotate and the car move. It includes fuel, cooling, lubricating and electric systems. Most automobile engines have six or eight cylinders.

The chassis includes a power train (power transmission), a run­ning gear, steering and braking systems as well.

The power train carries the power from the engine to the car wheels.

The power transmission, in turn, contains the clutch, gearbox, propeller or cardan shaft, final drive, differential, rear axle and axle shafts. The running gear consists of a frame with axles, wheels and springs.

The body has a hood, fenders and accessories: the heater, stereo tape recorder, windshield wipers, conditioner, speedometer and so on.

Підсумок. Викладачі підраховують кількість балів кожної команди і нагороджують команду-переможця. Інша команда отримує заохочувальний приз.
