Виховний захід «Friendship is in the air»

Цілі та завдання:

• розвивати навички говоріння і аудіювання;
• вчити висловлювати і аргументувати свою думку;
• в ігровій формі активізувати лексичний матеріал по темі;
• обговорити принципи, на яких тримається справжня дружба;
• розширити та поглибити знання учнів про взаємовідносини людей, дружбу і товаришування;
• виховувати чуйне і уважне ставлення до оточуючих, вчити цінувати дружбу;
• виховувати інтерес до іноземної мови та поважне ставлення один до одного.

1. INTRODUCTION

1. Warming-up

Teacher:Hello, everybody! Glad to see you. How are you today?

2. Pre-activity

Teacher:Look at this banner.

As you have already understood, today we are going to speak about friends and friendship. Of course friendship is very important for every person. Only real friends make our life interesting and bright. That’s why people appreciate friendship.

2. MAIN PART

1. What is a good friend?

Teacher:Let’s read some statements “What is a good friend?”.

Good friends:

• include everyone in their games;
• are happy for each other;
• laugh together;
• work together by listening to each other's ideas;
• can live far away from each other;
• can enjoy different things;
• can be away sick sometimes, but they will be back soon;
• can be a bit silly together;
• have fun together;
• sometimes go on holidays, but they will come back soon;
• can play make believe games together;
• are there for each other.

2. Find something nice to say

Teacher:Showing kindness to others and receiving kindness from others can help people feel happy – it has a positive impact on our mental health and wellbeing. This is important all the time but especially in challenging times. Find the kindness words in these crosswords and write down it on heart-stickers

 (Кожен учень знаходить по слову які позначають дружбу та доброту і записують на стікери-сердечка).

3. Friendship is in the air

Teacher:There are also many quotes about friendship. Let`s read and translate this one: “Friends are like air – you absolutely need them..”

Teacher: And now, take your heart-stickers, let`s fill up our hot air balloon with warm words.  It can fly! Our heart is soaring because friendship is in the air.

4. Moving exercise

Teacher: Please, stand up, dance and sing together.

5. Compound word game

 Teacher: By the way, do you know that English words can also be friends? It means that one word can be build of two short words. They`re – compound words. Let`s play compound words game.

Teacher: What did we speak about today?  What new have we learned at the lesson? What was the slogan of our lesson? You worked hard and you were very active.
