P1: This story is about the struggle between good and evil. It was written by the Danish author Christian Andersen. Because of an evil mirror that distorts reality, infects people and freezes hearts, a boy becomes cruel and aggressive. Then a queen takes him in her sleigh to her palace. Gerda, the boy’s friend, looks for him. In the end, the boy is saved by the power of her love (“ The Snow queen “)
-
P2: This fairy – tale is about a princess who is cursed to sleep for a hundred years by an evil fairy. The curse can be destroyed only by a handsome prince. After some time the princess is found by a prince. The prince kisses her, breaks the spell and awakens her. (“ The Sleeping Beauty”)
-
P3: This folk-tale is of Middle Eastern origin. With the help of the genie of the lamp a young boy becomes rich and powerful. He also marries a princess, the sultan’s daughter. The genie builds a wonderful palace for him and his princess , warns the boy of the danger. The boy’s kindness helps to break the spell of the lamp. ( “Aladdin and the Magic Lamp”)
-
Method “ Metaplan” :
T1: What unites all these fairy tales?
What is there? – ( evil struggles with good)
How should it be ? – (good is supposed to win)
What interferes ? – ( evil is stronger and more cunning)
Let’s sum it up – what should we do? What can defeat evil? ( kindness, love, devotion etc.)
