The word ”Easter” comes from the name Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and Easter is one of the most favourite holidays in my country. It is a symbol of new life. Easter starts on Good Friday in Britain. My mum makes hot cross buns and we eat them with a lot of butter for tea. On Easter Sunday we all go to church. When we get home, my brother and me play “Easter egg hunt”. My parents hide some Easter eggs in the garden and we look for them. I love playing it! Then we have a big lunch with roasted lamb and vegetables. In the afternoon my grandparents come for tea. We have delicious Easter cupcakes and chocolate sweets for it. Then we all go for a walk.
