Theme: Letters Cc, Dd

Objectives:  

• to introduce new vocabulary;
• to introduce and practice letters ‘Cc’ and ‘Dd’;
• to practice letters ‘Aa’ and ‘Bb’;  
• to practice structure ‘Every letter makes a sound’
• to develop students' speed and thinking, their memory, speech response, sustained attention, ability to transfer knowledge and skills to a new language situation;
• to encourage pupils in speaking English;

Procedure

1. Greeting                                                                                                                             

1. Greeting

- Hello, children! I am glad to see you. Today you will continue learn the English alphabet, letters C and D, but now let’s sing a “Hello song”!

2. Warm-up

- OK children, told me How are you today?

-Lets sing a song!

If you're happy, happy, happy, clap your hands

If you're angry, angry, angry, stomp your feet

If you're scared, scared, scared, say, "Oh, no!" (Oh, no!)

If you're sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, take a nap.

3. Aim

- Look at the blackboard you can see a capital letters C and D. Please say them out loud.  Repeat please. Let's make these letters out of our body. You can see example on the screen.

2. The main part of the lesson

PB p.61,

1. Letter C and sound [k]

- Be attentive. Listen and say with me.

This is letter C. C has got a friend, it is cat Carol.

- Listen again and point to each character and object in book.

- And now listen “C-song”. PB Audio (track Unit-5-Les_5-2)

- Listen again and point to each character and object in book.

5. Rhyme

Dd is for dog,

6. Work in activity book

AB p.45, t.1

- Now open your Activity Books on page 45 and take your pens. You should trace the letter ‘c’.

- Now look at me. Point to the picture of cat and say, ‘cat’, repeat after me in chorus Cat.

This is letter ‘C’.

‘C’ has got a friend.

It is cat Carol.

- Point to the picture of car and say, ‘car’, repeat after me in chorus Car.

- Please paint the cat in black color and the car in blue.

- The next task is find and circle the same letter.

- You should trace the letter ‘d’.

- Now look at me. Point to the picture of dog and say, ‘dog’, repeat after me in chorus Dog.

This is letter D.

D has got a friend.

It is dog Danny.

- Point to the picture of doll and say, ‘doll’, repeat after me in chorus Doll.

- Please paint the dog in brown color and the car in pink.

- The next task is colour the dogs and their houses with letter “D” or “d”
