1. Активізувати лексичні одиниці за темою “Sport”

2.Практикувати учнів у вживанні лексичних одиниць в усному та писемному мовленні.

T: Good morning! How are you getting on? Today we are going to speak about popular British sports and games. You’ll learn some new words on the topic and practise them in texts, games and exercises.

T: At home you had to rewrite 10 sentences using Simple Past Passive. Let’s check them. But first of all let’s revise how Simple Past Passive is formed. Who wants to be the first one?

1) Harry Potter was written by J.K. Rowling.

2) The furniture was bought at the local market.

3) The internet was invented during 1950s.

4) The police was called just after midnight.

5) Breakfast was served.

6) The children were not picked up.

7) The rooms were not cleaned.

8) The dog was fed.

9) The homework was written.

10) The car was washed.

T: Now you can see a tongue twister on the blackboard. Write down it in your copy books. First of all I will read it then you have to repeat after me. So, let’s start. Three free throws. OK, not bad. Now try again but faster.

T: Now boys and girls let’s do the next task.

Translate then put the words in the correct category.

T: Let’s learn the new words. Match the words in English and in Ukrainian and write down them in your vocabularies.       (1 слайд)

T: I want you to listen to my stories. I will describe different sports games. You can see the numbers of the games on the board and you will use the cаrds with the numbers on your desks.

• A slow run for exercise. (jogging)

• This game played on a court with a large orange ball. There are five players in each team. Two teams try to score goals by throwing a ball through a net fixed to a metal ring at each end of court. • It is a game played between two teams of eleven players. Players kick a ball around a field trying to score a goal. The team with the most points wins. This game is very popular in our country and all over the world. (football)

T: Let’s work again with vocabularies. People who go in for different sports have different names. Remember!!! How do we call people who:
