Тема: Захоплива подорож. Улюблені місця.

Мета:  навчати учнів використовувати вивчену  лексику  в різних ситуаціях;

     навчити учнів виявляти переваги і недоліки подорожей різними видами транспорту;

     вчити учнів висловлювати свою думку;

     розвивати навички читання, усного мовлення, сприяти виробленню комунікативної компетенції;

     розвивати пам'ять, увагу, уяву, логічне мислення;

     навчати учнів працювати в парах та групах; 

     виховувати культуру подорожування.

 

Обладнання: Наочність, малюнки, роздатковий матеріал.

 

Тип уроку: Комбінований.

І Початок уроку.

  1. GRETTING.

Привітання. Організаційний момент. Вступне слово вчителя.

T. Good afternoon, children! I am glad to see you. This lesson is unusual for you and for me. Today we have many guests. I hope that our co-operation will be successful. I want to ask you to be attentive and active. Don’t be afraid, don’t be silent.  Speak and express your opinion.  OK, look at each other, please. Smile! Look at me. Smile! So, let’s start our communication.

 

2. INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC. AIM.

T. The topic of our today’s lesson is “…” (Travelling by different means of transport. Travelling to favourite places).  Oh, you cannot see the topic of the lesson, it is covered by cards. To read the topic of the lesson you need to open the cards. You can do it by naming the object or process on the picture.

Today at the lesson we’ll continue to develop your communicative, reading, listening and writing skills.

  1. WARM - UP.

T. At our previous lesson we’ve got acquainted with some new words, we’ve revised the words you already know. Let’s  read the poem about travelling. Now you’ll see this poem at the board. Your task will be to name all means of transport which are mentioned in the poem. But the words which are the names of transport have missing letters and your task will be to fill in the missing letters.

 

Planes are quicker that the trains.

Trains are cheaper than the planes.

I like travelling on foot.

It makes me healthy and good.

If you want to travel fast –

Take a train, a plane, a bus.

If you want to be in time-

Always choose the airline.

If you want to go far –

Than you need the sleeping car.

If you visit the father’s land –

Book your ticket beforehand.

If you want in time to turn –

Book not single, but return.

  1.   T: Look at the board. Here I’ve gathered all the names of means of transport we’ve learnt about. Let’s revise them.

B) Now you task will be to divide these means of transport in four groups:

T. Look at the board. Here you can see some word which you’ll hear in the text. Let’s read them.

Quick – швидкий

Comfortable – зручний

Slow – повільний

Far – далекий

Magnificent – чудовий

Foggy – туманний

To worry – перейматись

In such way – таким чином

Carriage – вагон

 

  1.    While – listening.

T. No you’ll listen to short texts and your task will be to guess what means of transport it is about.

1. It is the fastest way of travelling. It can take you from one town to the other in time. The seats are comfortable. It is a pity but sometimes you can see very little from the window. When the weather is rainy or foggy you cannot travel by it.

  1. This way of travelling is fast. You can stop at any place you like and go where you like. You need no tickets. Usually families go by it. (car)

 

  1. This is the slowest way of travelling. You need not worry about tickets. The only thing you need is a rucksack. You can visit many places in such way. (on foot)

 

  1. This way of travelling is fast. The carriages are comfortable. You can see a lot of things from carriage window. You can make a long journey on land by it. (train)

 

  1.    Post – listening.

T. You’ve listened to short texts about different means of transport. Now you’ll work in pairs. Your task will be to write about one of the mean of transport not telling what it is. The task of other pupils will be to guess the name of the transport.

T. Are you tired? Now I’ll take a box. There are papers with riddles. Your task will to guess the riddle from the paper you choose and to show what is written on the paper.

1. It has wings and it can fly. Its not a bird. (A plane)

2. This mean of transport goes underground. (A train)

3. Boys and girls like to do it when they have free time. You cannot do it in winter and when the weather is bad. (to ride a bike)

4. People do it when they come to seaside. (to lie on the beach)

5. People do it when they come to the swimming pool, to the river or to the seaside. (to do water sports)

6. When you need or you want to remember some moment for a long time, you take a camera and … . (to take photos)
