Ведуча: How does love work..?

Ведучий: "The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That’s what I hope to give you forever."

Ведуча: How does love feel..?

Ведучий:"I look at you and see the rest of my life in front of my eyes."

Ведуча: What does love bring..?

Ведучий: It brings happiness...

"The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves."

Ведуча: What do you learn from love...?

Ведучий: "All, everything that I understand, I only understand because I love" (presenting a red rose)

Ведуча: “A red, red rose”

Ведучий: A red, red rose by Robert Burns. Andriy Shastun is going to recite it.

O, my love is like a red, red rose,

That is newly sprung in June.

O, my love is like the melody,

That is sweetly played in tune.

As fair are you, my lovely lass,

So deep in love am I,

And I will love you still, my Dear,

Till all the seas go dry.

Till all the seas go dry, my Dear,

And the rocks melt with the sun!

O I will love you still, my Dear,

While the sands of life shall run.

And fare you well, my only Love,

And fare you well a while!

And I will come again, my Love,

Although it were ten thousand mile!

Ведуча: Tell me why love matters ...

Ведучий: "I'm much more me when I'm with you."

Ведуча: Why love hurts ...

Ведучий: It's a very dangerous state. You can't bear an hour without your company

Ведуча: How love colors your world ...

Ведучий: "The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart."

Ведуча: Beauty attracts the eye but personality captures the heart.

Ведучий:  “She walks in beauty” by George Gordon Byron in Sophia Zasiadvovk’s interpretation.

 SHE WALKS IN BEAUTY

SHE walks in beauty, like the night

Of cloudless climes and starry skies;

And all that's best of dark and bright

Meet in her aspect and her eyes:

Thus mellow'd to that tender light

Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,

Had half impair'd the nameless grace

Which waves in every raven tress,

Or softly lightens o'er her face;

Where thoughts serenely sweet express

How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,

So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,

The smiles that win, the tints that glow,

But tell of days in goodness spent,

A mind at peace with all below,

A heart whose love is innocent!

Ведуча: Love is giving ...

Ведучий: "To love is nothing. To be loved is something. But to love and be loved, that’s everything."

Ведуча: Love is blind ...

Ведучий: "I saw that you were perfect, and so I loved you. Then I saw that you were not perfect and I loved you even more."

Ведуча: Love is unselfish ...

Ведучий: In order to be happy oyourself it is necessary to make at least one other person happy."

Ведуча: Meet Kate Muzyka. She is going to recite the 18th Sonnet by William Shakespeare

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimmed:
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st,
Nor shall Death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st.
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Ведуча: When love takes over ...

Ведучий: "The heart wants what it wants. There's no logic to these things. You meet someone and you fall in love and that's that."

Ведуча: Love means togetherness ...

Ведучий: If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you

Ведуча: When love is real ...

Ведучий: You don't love someone because they're perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they're not.

Ведуча: Sophia Kovalska is going to recite the 116th sonnet of Shakespeare

Let me not to the marriage of true minds

Admit impediments. Love is not love

Which alters when it alteration finds,

Or bends with the remover to remove.

O no! it is an ever-fixed mark

That looks on tempests and is never shaken;

It is the star to every wand'ring bark,

Whose worth's unknown,

although his height be taken.

Love's not Time's fool,

though rosy lips and cheeks

Within his bending sickle's compass come;

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me prov'd,

I never writ, nor no man ever lov'd.

Ведучий: Love without end ...

Ведуча: I would rather spend one lifetime with you, than face all the ages of this world alone."

Ведучий: Love is friendship ...

Ведуча: You are my best friend, my human diary and my other half. You mean the world to me and I LOVE YOU

Ведучий: Now let’s welcome Яна Костриця and listen to the 147th sonnet.

My love is as a fever, longing still
For that which longer nurseth the disease,
Feeding on that which doth preserve the ill,
The uncertain sickly appetite to please.
My reason, the physician to my love,
Angry that his prescriptions are not kept,
Hath left me, and I desperate now approve

Desire is death, which physic did except.
Past cure I am, now reason is past care,
And frantic-mad with evermore unrest;
My thoughts and my discourse as madmen's are,
At random from the truth vainly express'd;
For I have sworn thee fair and thought thee bright,
Who art as black as hell, as dark as night.

Ведуча: Love is a teacher ...

Ведучий: If I know what love is, it is because of you

Ведуча: Love is a choice ...

Ведучий: I choose you. And I'll choose you over and over and over. Without pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat. I'll keep choosing you.

Ведуча: How love is poetic ...

Ведучий: At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet

Ведуча: I hope you’ll enjoy listening to “The Daffodils” by Ксенія Маслюк.

BY WILLIAM WORDSWORTH

I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of golden daffodils;

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,

Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine

And twinkle on the milky way,

They stretched in never-ending line

Along the margin of a bay:

Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they

Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:

A poet could not but be gay,

In such a jocund company:

I gazed—and gazed—but little thought

What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie

In vacant or in pensive mood,

They flash upon that inward eye

Which is the bliss of solitude;

And then my heart with pleasure fills,

And dances with the daffodils.

Ведучий: Love is strength ...

Ведуча: Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage

Ведучий: How love works ...

Ведуча: Love is like war: easy to begin but very hard to stop

Ведучий: Love’s Philosophy  by   Percy Bysshe Shelley. Let’ enjoy it with Анна Руденко

The fountains mingle with the river

And the rivers with the ocean,

The winds of heaven mix for ever

With a sweet emotion;

Nothing in the world is single,

All things by a law divine

In one another’s being mingle—

Why not I with thine?

See the mountains kiss high heaven,

And the waves clasp one another;

No sister-flower would be forgiven

If it disdain’d its brother;

And the sunlight clasps the earth,

And the moonbeams kiss the sea—

What is all this sweet work worth

If thou kiss not me?

Ведуча: Love is life ...

Ведучий: Thinking of you keeps me awake. Dreaming of you keeps me asleep. Being with you keeps me alive.

Ведуча: Love is wild and crazy ...

Ведучий: When love is not madness it is not love

Ведуча: Love is magical ...

Ведучий: You have bewitched me body and soul, and I love, I love, I LOVE YOU

Ведуча: Vika Goncharenko is going to recite one more of Shelley’s poems.

Ведучий: Love is freedom ...

Ведуча: One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: That word is love.

Ведучий: Lera Garbar will recite a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight

For the ends of being and ideal grace.

I love thee to the level of every day’s

Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.

I love thee freely, as men strive for right.

I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.

I love thee with the passion put to use

In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose

With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,

I shall but love thee better after death.

Ведуча: How love begins ...

Ведучий: I wish I could turn back the clock. I'd find you sooner and love you longer

Ведуча: Love is unselfish ...

Ведучий: You know it's love when all you want is that person to be happy, even if you're not part of their happiness

Ведуча: Why love is important ...

Ведучий: The greatest thing you'll ever learn Is to love and be loved in return."

Ведуча: Anastasia Bokariova will recite the poem “Wandere” by Heinrich Heine

Wenn dich ein Weib verraten hat,
So liebe flink eine andre;
Noch besser wär es, du ließest die Stadt -
Schnüre den Ranzen und wandre!

Du findest bald einen blauen See,
Umringt von Trauerweiden;
Hier weinst du aus dein kleines Weh
Und deine engen Leiden.

Wenn du den steilen Berg ersteigst,
Wirst du beträchtlich ächzen;
Doch wenn du den felsigen Gipfel erreichst,
Hörst du die Adler krächzen.

Dort wirst du selbst ein Adler fast,
Du bist wie neugeboren,
Du fühlst dich frei, du fühlst: du hast

Ведучий: The floor is given to Karina Danylovych with the poem “Nachtgedanken”

Denk ich an Deutschland in der Nacht,
Dann bin ich um den Schlaf gebracht,
Ich kann nicht mehr die Augen schließen,
Und meine heißen Tränen fließen.

Die Jahre kommen und vergehn!
Seit ich die Mutter nicht gesehn,
Zwölf Jahre sind schon hingegangen;
Es wächst mein Sehnen und Verlangen.

Mein Sehnen und Verlangen wächst.
Die alte Frau hat mich behext,
Ich denke immer an die alte,
Die alte Frau, die Gott erhalte!

Die alte Frau hat mich so lieb,
Und in den Briefen, die sie schrieb,
Seh ich, wie ihre Hand gezittert,
Wie tief das Mutterherz erschüttert.

Die Mutter liegt mir stets im Sinn.
Zwölf lange Jahre flossen hin,
Zwölf lange Jahre sind verflossen,
Seit ich sie nicht ans Herz geschlossen

Deutschland hat ewigen Bestand,
Es ist ein kerngesundes Land,
Mit seinen Eichen, seinen Linden,
Werd' ich es immer wiederfinden.

Nach Deutschland lechzt ich nicht so sehr,
Wenn nicht die Mutter dorten wär;
Das Vaterland wird nie verderben,
Jedoch die alte Frau kann sterben.

Seit ich das Land verlassen hab,
So viele sanken dort ins Grab,
Die ich geliebt -- wenn ich sie zähle,
So will verbluten meine Seele.

Und zählen muß ich -- Mit der Zahl
Schwillt immer höher meine Qual;
Mir ist, als wälzten sich die Leichen,
Auf meine Brust -- Gottlob! Sie weichen!

Gottlob! Durch meine Fenster bricht
Französisch heitres Tageslicht;
Es kommt mein Weib, schön wie der Morgen
Und lächelt fort die deutschen Sorgen.

Ведуча: Love is the little things ...

Ведучий: I hope you know that every time I tell you to get home safe, stay warm, have a good day, or sleep well what I am really saying is I love you.

Ведуча: Love brings joy ...

Ведучий: I have decided to stick to love; hate is too great a burden to bear

Ведуча: Daryna Gluhenko is introducing us with another poem of Heinrich Heine “Lorelei”

Ich weiss nicht, was soll es bedeuten,
Dass ich so traurig bin;
Ein Märchen aus alten Zeiten,
Das kommt mir nicht aus dem Sinn.

Die Luft ist kühl, und es dunkelt,
Und ruhig fliesst der Rhein;
Der Gipfel des Berges funkelt
Im Abendsonnenschein.
Die schönste Jungfrau sitzet
Dort oben wunderbar,
Ihr goldenes Geschmeide blitzet, Sie kämmt ihr goldenes Haar.

Sie kämmt es mit goldenem Kamme
Und singt ein Lied dabei;
Das hat eine wundersame,
Gewaltige Melodei.

Den Schiffer im kleinen Schiffe
Ergreift es mit wildem Weh;
Er schaut nicht die Felsenriffe,
Er schat nur hinauf in die Höh.
Ich glaube, die Welllen verschlingen
Am Ende Schiffer und Kahn;
Und das hat mit ihrem Singen
Die Lorelei getan.

Ведучий: Love is worth it ...

Ведуча: "Better to have lost and loved than never to have loved at all."

Ведучий: Where there is love -  there is life

Ведуча: Love is unconditional ...

Ведучий: Snizhana Khomenko will please us with a poem “An die Jungen”

Laß dich nicht kirren, laß dich nicht wirren
Durch goldne Aepfel in deinem Lauf!
Die Schwerter klirren, die Pfeile schwirren,
Doch halten sie nicht den Helden auf.

Ein kühnes Beginnen ist halbes Gewinnen,
Ein Alexander erbeutet die Welt!
Kein langes Besinnen! Die Königinnen
Erwarten schon knieend den Sieger im Zelt.

Wir wagen, wir werben! besteigen als Erben

Des alten Darius Bett und Thron.
O süßes Verderben! o blühendes Sterben!
Berauschter Triumphtod zu Babylon!

Ведуча: love makes everything beautiful ...

Ведучий: Because I could watch you for a single minute and find a thousand things that I love about you

Ведуча: And Anastasia Baban is going to tell us “Neue Liebe, neues Leben”

Herz, mein Herz, was soll das geben?

Was bedränget dich so sehr?

Welch ein fremdes, neues Leben!

Ich erkenne dich nicht mehr.

Weg ist alles, was du liebtest,

Weg, warum du dich betrübtest,

Weg dein Fleiss und deine Ruh’ -

Ach, wie kamst du nur dazu!

Fesselt dich die Jugendblüte,

Diese liebliche Gestalt,

Dieser Blick voll Treu’ und Güte

Mit unendlicher Gewalt?

Will ich rasch mich ihr entziehen,

Mich ermannen, ihr entfliehen,

Führet mich im Augenblick,

Ach, mein Weg zu ihr zurück!

Ведуча:  Love is EVERYTHING ...

Ведучий: "All of me loves all of you."

Ведуча:  Let’s welcome Maria Chernay with a poem “The Magic Of Love

The Magic Of Love

Love is like magic
And it always will be.
For love still remains
Life's sweet mystery!!
Love works in ways
That are wondrous and strange
And there's nothing in life
That love cannot change!!
Love can transform
The most commonplace
Into beauty and splendor
And sweetness and grace.
Love is unselfish,
Understanding and kind,
For it sees with its heart
And not with its mind!!
Love is the answer
That everyone seeks...
Love is the language,
That every heart speaks.
Love can't be bought,
It is priceless and free,
Love, like pure magic,
Is life's sweet mystery!!

Ведучий: Love is a song that never ends

Ведуча:  Love is a song that never ends;

one simple theme repeating.

Like the voice of a heavenly choir

Love's sweet music flows on

Ведучий: Meet Oksana Borysenko with a song “Diamonds”

Ведуча:  And remember, as it was written, to love another person is to see the face of God
