Badminton

Badminton is an Olympic sport in which two players or two teams of two compete with each other. The goal of each player (or team) is to throw the racket over the steering wheel to the opponent's side so that the opponent cannot repel it. In order for a point to be scored, the shuttlecock must touch the opponent's court

This game originates from the Ancient East and Ancient Greece. Duke Beaufort brought rackets and a ball of feathers from India to his estate in Badminton, Gloucestershire (hence the name).

Ukraine has many schools in different cities where badminton is taught. The main ones are in Dnipro and Kharkiv. Here are the strongest schools in this sport. We also hold annual badminton championships in Ukraine. Ukrainian athletes represent their country abroad. There are many winners and prize-winners of various international badminton competitions in Ukraine.

Ten-time champion of Ukraine among juniors Elizaveta Zharka is my favorite athlete.
