Johnny’s day

….It was one of the unhappiest days in my life. When I got up I saw that it was 9 o’clock. .I overslept. I understood that I was late for our school bus to get to school on time. So I decided if I were late I would stay at home and have a fantastic day without school and without my parents as well. I would do everything I wanted.

As I was hungry at first I decided to go to the kitchen and have breakfast, but I found my mum’s note on our fridge. It was for me. “Sorry, dear, we were late. Please, buy something to eat at school.” I thought it was OK. No porridge today. I would eat what I wanted. When I opened my fridge I couldn’t believe my eyes I saw that we had neither my favourite orange juice nor my favourite chocolate ice-cream. There was only some milk and one kiwi. I must say I hate kiwis but there was a hope to find something in our cupboard, there was always something delicious: either my mum’s apple pie or some chocolates. When I came up to the cupboard there was another mum’s note. It was for my dad. “Dear Peter, there’s no bread at home. Please, buy two loaves, please.  We have neither cookies nor chocolates. So I want to make an apple pie. Buy both apples and sugar.” So I didn’t open the cupboard as I understood that I would have either some milk or a kiwi. I opened the fridge and took a bottle of milk and suddenly dropped it and it was broken. I had to eat only that terrible kiwi.

After that I decided to watch my favourite video “Home alone” or play my favourite computer game “Pizza Frenzy”. I was excited and switched my comp on but oops. Then I switched TV on and oops again. I understood there was something wrong. Oh, no, there was no electricity. I looked out of the window and saw a lot of people at the electric column at the crossroads. I ran quickly there. It was a car accident. The car had hit the column.  The ambulance took the injured driver to the emergency unit.

I came back home and found that the door of my house was locked. When I had ran out I forgot about the key and now I couldn’t get into the house.  I didn’t know what to do: my friends were at school, my parents would be back only at 6. Besides, suddenly one idea came to my mind. “My parents…. What shall I tell them? How can I explain them why I was at home at this time?” I started thinking and decided to hide because I wanted to tell them that when I came home from school I heard something outdoors,   came out to see and the door closed. So nobody had not to see me before 4 o’clock, the time when I usually came back from school.

It was the most boring afternoon. I was waiting behind the trees near the door of my house for more than two hours. It was 3 o’clock. Oh, they gave the electricity. I got tired, my head began hurting and I felt depressed and then, you didn’t believe, suddenly…. What you think…. Yes, my mum came home earlier. All my plans failed.

So, you understand that my fantastic day became really terrible for me…

Love,

Johnny
