My Home
For many people their home is their castle.
Personally I feel very strongly that there is no place like home, as an English proverb says.
Some people live in urban area and they enjoy life in a busy city.
Not surprisingly because it gives them the chance to bump into interesting people and get lots of different professional opportunities.
These city lovers prefer hustle and bustle of a city to more peaceful environment.
While others are happy to be close to nature and move to rural area in the countryside.
They say they sleep better there and breathe fresher air.
To start with I live in a nice well maintained detached house (in a block of flats) with all mod cons.
It’s just a stone’s throw from the downtown, within walking distance of all the local amenities.
It is located in a pleasant, quiet, and safe neighbourhood.
We get on with all our neighbours pretty well and they never kick up a fuss about too loud music or my apparently noisy friends when we throw parties.
Our house (flat) is quite spacious, it has got 2(3) bedrooms, a living room, a study, a kitchen, a bathroom and a hall.
It is nicely decorated and furnished from top to bottom.
All the windows are double-glazed, which stops a lot of the noise from the traffic.
They overlook a small garden which looks gorgeous because there are flowerbeds all round our lawn and my Mum prunes all the shrubs in the garden every year.
She says she’s got green fingers.
My feet are never cold in the winter because our floorboards are covered with large carpets.
Our living room is very cosy and a fireplace makes it really homely.
Our kitchen is equipped with modern kitchen appliances like a dishwasher, a cooker, a fridge and a freezer.
My room is really fantastic, I decorated it as I like.
On the plus side is that I don’t share it with anybody else and it has got en suite bathroom.
My bedroom never looks messy; it’s always tidy as I regularly do my household chores.
