Метою вивчення цієї теми є навчити учнів розповідати про свій робочий день, використовуючи прийменники часу. Головне завдання вчителя під час опрацювання прийменника полягає у тому, щоб сформувати уміння виділяти прийменники з мовного потоку, показати роль прийменників у реченні та формувати навички роздільного написання прийменників із словами.

The Procedure of the Lesson
Good morning, students! I’m glad to see you. How are you? Let’s call the register. Get ready everything for the lesson. Today we will talk about the prepositions of time.
Let’s revise the usage of the Present Simple Tense. Your task is to use the Present Simple.
For today you had to translate some sentences from Ukrainian into English. Let’s check them.
Today we will learn about prepositions of time (прийменники часу). I will write them on the board.
Prepositions of time - here's a list of the time words that need 'on', 'in', 'at' and some that don't need any preposition. Be careful - many students of English use 'on' with months (it should be 'in'), or put a preposition before 'next' when we don't need one. Open your copybooks and write down:
At (о, у) |
|
On (на, у) |
|
In (у) |
|
no (відсутність прийменника) |
|
Remember that these prepositions are often used with the definite article “THE”!
Fill in the correct prepositions and explain your choice.
I see that you are tired. Let’s relax a little bit. There are written some words on the sheets of paper. Your task is to show the word and tell where we can find such an animal for your groupmates to guess its name.
A bear (forest)
A fly (everywhere)
A bee (hive)
An elephant(desert)
A wolf(forest)
A dinosaur(forest)
Write down the home task. For the next time, you have to learn where to use the prepositions of time, because you will write a dictation based on it.
I’m extremely pleased with the work of the class. Yuriy, your answers were good and you’re done your homework correctly, you deserve an excellent, 11 points. Danylo, I shall give you 9 points as you mispronounced some words while reading the sentences. Very good, but be more attentive during the class as you still make some grammar mistakes.
That’s all for today. See you on Monday. Bye!
