«Моє улюблене свято»

Тема: Моє улюблене свято.

Мета: вдосконалювати навички вживання нових лексичних одиниць та порядкових числівників; вдосконалювати навички вимови, читання, усного мовлення та письма; розвивати логічне мислення; розвивати мовну здогадку;

Виховувати в учнів повагу до національних традицій та свят.

Обладнання: підручник Оксани Карп’юк «English 5», картки із завданнями, мультимедійна дошка, презентація з теми, диск – додаток до підручника.

 

Хід уроку

 

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1. Привітання і повідомлення теми уроку.

Dear pupils! I am glad to see you here. I am sure you are ready for active work.

Our topic today is “My favourite holiday”. (Слайд №1)

By the end of the lesson you will read and discuss some information, speak about the party you really enjoyed.

I hope you will like to speak about your favourite holidays.

2. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

Аудіювання і відтворення римування. Учитель декламує римування, учні хором повторюють.(Слайд №2)

It’s party time, it’s party time

Time for games and time for toys,

Time for happy girls and boys,

Time for cakes and gifts for you,

Time to laugh and say “Thank you”.

Are you a party person?

Listen to the questions and choose the correct answer for you.

1. Do you like parties?

1. Yes, they are fantastic.
2. They are OK.
3. No, I do not like them.

2. When do you go to party, who do you talk to?

1. Different people.
2. One or two friends.

3. When the music starts, do you dance?

1. Yes, with different people.

If you get mostly:

As- You love parties. You are a real party person.

Bs- you quite like parties.

Cs – you do not like parties.

Учні працюють з анкетою, потім кожний висловлюється, наприклад:

I love parties. I am a party person. I do not like parties.

II.  Основна частина уроку

1. Перевірка домашнього завдання. Говоріння

Учні прослуховують диск – додаток до підручника та декламують різдвяну пісню “Silent Night” ( вправа 5 с. 121 підручника).

2. Активізація лексичних одиниць теми.

          Усне мовлення.

Учні по черзі називають слова і складають речення з ними, наприклад:

Practice the ordinal numerals.

2. When is your mother’s birthday?
3. When is your father’s birthday?
4. When do you start school in autumn?
5. When do you finish school in spring?

Now you are going to listen to a conversation between two girls, Sally and Ann. After listening to the text twice you’ll answer the questions.  Look at the questions now.

Учні двічі прослуховують текст з аудіозапису.

Sally: Ann, would you like to come to a party?

Ann: Well, I would like to but when is it?

Sally: On Saturday.

Ann: What a pity. I am busy next Saturday.

Sally: Why?

Ann: I am going to my grandparents.

Sally: Really? Will you come another time? Is Friday OK for you?

Ann: Yes, thank you, Sally. I’ll come on Friday.

3. Post –Listening Activity. Перевірки розуміння змісту прослуханого.

Let us check how you understood the text. Answer the questions.

1. Who is talking? (Girls are talking.)
2. What are the children’s name? (The children’s names are Ann and Sally.)
3. What are they talking about? (They are talking about party.)
4. Would she like to come? ((She would like to come.)
5. When will she come? (She will come on Friday.)

      5. Усне мовлення. Розмова вчитель – учень.

          - Do you like your birthday?

          - Why do you like it?

      6. The next your task is to read the letter and say if the sentences are true or

          false.

          Dear John!

     You wanted to know about New Year’s Day in our country and our winter holidays.

 New Year’s Day is a very happy holiday. We usually get a fir – tree before this holiday. We decorate it with beautiful toys and lights. Children like to sing and dance round the New Year tree. We also have a big New Year tree at school. We celebrate this holiday at home, together with our family. On New Year Eve Father Frost comes to little children and gives them presents.

 Schoolchildren like this holiday very much because on this day their winter holidays begin. Winter in our country is very cold. There is much snow. Children make snowman, ski and skate. Please write to us about the New Year holiday in your country.
