Тема уроку: Вирушаємо у подорож

Мета уроку: Повторити й активізувати ЛО теми. Розвивати вміння аудіювання. Продовжити формувати навички читання. Повторити граматичний матеріал: минулі часи дієслів. Навчити вести дискусію. Розвивати вміння монологічного й діалогічного мовлення. Виховувати інтерес до життя людей в інших країнах.

Обладнання: Підручник, робочий зошит, картки для індивідуальної роботи.

Хід уроку

I. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

1. Привітання.

T: Hello! Nice to see you! How are you today?

Ps: Nice to see you too! We are very well, thank you!

2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T: Today we`ll continue discussing going on a journey – things to see and do in different countries.  You`ll learn some new information.

3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

Робота в парах. Учні в парах виконують завдання на картках. Потім учитель читає правильні відповіді, а учні порівнюють із ними свої.

II. Основна частина уроку.

1. Аудіювання

Учитель двічі читає текст. Учні уважно слухають, а потім відповідають на запитання вчителя.

What does «Loch» mean in Gaelic?

Did people try to catch the monster? Were they successful?

What can we see at Loch Ness Exhibitions?

LOCH NESS MONSTER

Scotland’s most famous lake is Loch Ness ( is the Gaelic word for lake); the story says that «Nessie», a mythical monster, lives there.

Some people claim that they have seen it; some even say that they have taken its photo. Monster watching has already become a tradition of that region; so have the attempts to catch it; some even try to prove scientifically that this creature exists.

Local bus tours offer a boat trip on the lake, a tour of Urquhart Castle and a visit to the Loch Ness Exhibitions. There you can learn about the details of sightings of the monster. You can also see full-size imitations of some of the scientific investigations. And there are shops, selling local goods, such as high-quality Scottish woolens, smoked salmon and glass monsters.

2. Повторення й активізація граматичного матеріалу.

1) Бесіда з учнями.

Т: What past tenses do you remember? What tense do we use when we speak about' things that happened in the past? What tense do we use when we speak about things which were happening during some period in the past? What is the auxiliary verb in the Past Simple/Continuous/Perfect? Now will you give some examples of sentences in the Past Simple/Continuous/Perfect?

2) Граматична гра.

Клас поділяється на дві команди. На дошці написані дієслрва: to work,. to paint, to wait, to rain, to study, to fly і ,т. ін. Кожна команда має скласти речення з поданими дієсловами, додавши необхідні обставини часу: перша — в минулому доконаному часі, а друга — в минулому тривалому часі. За кожне правильне речення надається один бал. Перемагає команда, що набере більше балів. Наприклад:

Team1: Не had worked hard and the book was finished.

Team2: He was working hard all day yesterday.

3. Розвиток умінь мовлення

Учні у парах складають діалог за завданням карток. По закінченні роботи кілька пар інсценують свої діалоги.

You are planning a visit to Kyiv for your friends from Great Britain. You are giving advice about what to see and visit in Kyiv. Make up a dialogue.
