There is one more important point in the last table! If we have the word “please” in the sentence - it’s a request. In this case we must use the verb “ ask” “Help me, please!” - Mary said to Tim. Mary asked Tim to help her. “Don’t take my pen, please!” -Bill told Sammy. Bill asked Sammy not to take his pen.
If we don’t have the word “please” in our sentence - it’s a command or instruction. In this case we use the verbs “tell” or “order”“Open your books, pupils!”-the teacher said. The teacher told the pupils to open their books.“Don’t go out!” -said Mr. Brown to Harry. Mr. Brown told Harry not to go out.
Change the speech from Direct into the Reported one:“ Please, visit me tomorrow,” July said to Clive. - “Please, be careful!” Mother said to her little son.“Be quiet!” the teacher said to the pupils.“ Raise your hand to answer,” Mr’ Dawson told his pupils.“ Don’t look at me like that,” said Tracey to her brother. Mick told Simon, “ Buy some meat for dinner, please!”Mary said to Miranda,”Open the window,please!”The guard said to the driver,”Stop!”The boy said to his Granny, “ I want some ice-cream. Can you buy some?”The teacher said to the pupils,” Hand in your works,please”The manager said to the client, : Look at this car!”The policeman told a man.”Don’t turn back!”
