Тема: «Спорт у Великій Британії».

Мета уроку:

Навчальна: удосконалювати навички аудіювання з використанням автентичного матеріалу.

Розвивальна: розвивати вміння висловлювати свою думку з проблемної теми (критичне мислення), уміння працювати в групах, розширити кругозір учнів за допомогою мультимедійних засобів знайомлячи їх з досягненнями Великобританії у спорті.

Виховна: виховувати інтерес до спорту та культури інших націй.

Обладнання: Відеофільм Window on Britain, відео-презентація “Sport in Great Britain”, підручник 7 клас, комп’ютери, дидактичний матеріал.

Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1.Greeting and aim.  Привітання і повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T: Dear pupils! Today we are going to speak about sport in Great Britain. You'll watch a video film and will have to make a story about sporting activities. Are you ready?

T: Look at the blackboard here you can see two proverbs about sport.

Health is above wealth.

A healthy mind in a healthy body!

T: Are you agree with them? Why is it so important?

2. Warming up. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

T: – And now try to answer my questions in order to repeat some words.

T – Why are sports so important in our life?

P – Sports help us to be healthy and happy.

T – What do you think? Do all people need physical exercises?

P – I think, yes, they do.

T – What people must do to keep good health?

P – People must do physical exercises, go in for sports.

T – How do sports help you?

P – We become healthy, beautiful, and strong.

T – What sports are popular at our school?

P – Football, tennis, basketball and volleyball are popular at our school.

T – What is your favourite sport? Why?

P – My favourite sport is football, because it helps me to be strong and healthy!

-         I went to Kyiv to take part in competitions.

-         I was second in jumping and third in running.

-         Yes, it was very difficult, but we did our best and were second in the team competition.

What kind of sport is it?

Т: Іt is the English national game. It is an outdoor game. There are two teams of 11 players each which players try to get points by hitting a ball and running between two sets of stumps. The uniform is white shirt, white trousers and white boots. (Cricket)

      It is a team game. Men and women, boys and girls can play it. The players have a ball          and play it with their hands. There are six players in each of two teams. (Volleyball)

It is a very popular game in England and in Ukraine. Both men and women can play it now. The players kick the ball with their feet; they must not touch the ball with their hands. The game lasts 90 minutes and has two halves. The players try to score a goal. (Football)

It’s a game for two players. They need rackets, a small ball, a net and a court. (Tennis)

To play this game we need sticks, a punk, a playground covered with ice. (Hockey)
