Greatest inventions.

If to ask anyone what  the greatest invention is, he will probably say that it is the internet. But except the internet there are many much more important ones. For example, electricity . One can hardly imagine his life without it. And even internet is impossible without electricity.  We must be thankful to those gifted people, who made our life better and easier. Moreover, Inventors Day is celebrated on 29 September by several countries, as it is the birthday of Argentinian inventor László József Bíró, the inventor of the ball-point pen.

Among the greatest discoveries one can name

1. The compass was invented by the Chinese between the 9^th and 11^th century.
2. The modern form of the internal combustion engine came around in the latter half of the 19^th century, which brought with it the Industrial Age.
3. The first mechanical computer was invented  in the early 19th century.
4. Penicillin, which fights a huge number of bacterial infections in humans without harming the humans themselves, was being mass produced and advertised by 1944.
5. The wheel was invented in 3500 BC and have transformed our lives, and are used in everything from clocks to vehicles.
6. In 1989 the World Wide Web was invented.(internet)
7. Thomas Edison is credited as the primary inventor of a  Light bulb
8. ContraceptionThe birth control movement developed during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
9. Alexander Graham Bell was the first to be awarded a patent for the electric telephone in 1876.
10. Paper was invented in ancient China during the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD)

Having summed everything up, we can say that all inventions are essential  and we can’t imagine our life without any of them.
