Мета уроку: активізувати і тренувати учнів у вживанні лексичного матеріалу за темою «Їжа»; вчити учнів правильно будувати речення англійською мовою; розвивати усне мовлення учнів; сприяти формуванню в учнів навичок аудіювання, читання та письма; розвивати творчу фантазію, пізнавальний інтерес, ініціативу у використанні іноземної мови; виховувати усвідомлення важливості правильного харчування; виховувати почуття взаємоповаги, формувати навички роботи в колективі.
Тема: Продукти харчування. Моя улюблена їжа.

Зміст уроку
1.1 Організація класу.
T: Good morning, dear friends. I am glad to see you.
How are you today? Are you happy? Are you sad? Are you hungry?
Are you ready to start?
T: What day is it today? What date is it today? How many days are there in a week? How many seasons are there in a year? What season is it now? Why is autumn a tasty season?
T: We are going to speak about food. We`ll summarize everything we know about food, we`ll read, write and listen to the text about a hungry dragon, we`ll sing songs and play games today.
2.1 Активізація лексичних одиниць з теми “Їжа”.
( Check that the students understand the meaning of the following words – fruit, vegetables, meat and drinks). Put students into pairs to discuss the different kinds of food in the photos and to say whether they are kinds of fruit, vegetables, meat, drinks or other things. When they have finished, ask pairs to say how many of the items they can name.

- Check that students understand the meaning of meals. Discuss where and at what times people eat meals. Ask students if these times are the same in every country.

- Before reading, explain that a.m. and p.m. from the Latin words ‘ante meridiem’ (before midday) and ‘post meridiem’ (after midday).

British Meals
Traditionally English people have three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served in the morning. It used to be a large meal with cereal, eggs and bacon, sausages, tomatoes. But such a large breakfast takes a long time to prepare and is not very healthy. Nowadays, Britain`s most popular breakfast consists of cereal, toast with marmalade, juice and yogurt with a cup of tea or coffee.
Lunch is a light meal. Most people have no time to go back home for lunch so they eat at school, cafes, pubs or restaurants.
The main meal is dinner, which is usually between 6 and 7 p.m. A typical evening meal is a meat dish with vegetables and dessert. The most important meal of the week is the Sunday dinner, which is usually eaten at 1 p.m. The traditional Sunday dish used to be roast beef, but nowadays pork chicken or lamb are more common. On Sundays evenings people have supper or high tea. The famous British afternoon tea is becoming rare, except at weekends.
