Мета: -формування навичок вживання нових ЛО, вдосконалення навичок усного мовлення, , читання та письма з опорою на лексико-граматичні структури, розвивати логічне мислення та пізнавальний інтерес  до вивчення англійської мови і літератури, виховувати зацікавленість у розширенні своїх літературних знань і повагу до культури інших народів.

Procedure

1. Warm-up.

Look at the photos and match descriptions with the book characters.

a. This character is beautiful, kind, smart. Always thinking about others. Got into a difficult situation.  But kindness and love defeated evil   

 b. This character is strong, brave, courageous and fearless. He is known for performing twelve feats

c. This is the main character from a very famous book. With their friends, they fight evil

d.  This hero steals from the rich and gives to the poor

2. Vocabulary practice. Presenting the new words «Types of literature genres»:

Science fiction

Myth

Poem

Mystery

Fable

Practice the new words. Complete the literature genres with the missing letters (pupils get individual cards, who can do the task first and correct get a mark)

3. Speaking. Answer the questions.

IV .Reading.

(Children receive papers with short contents from famous books and read to the class. The student who guesses the most, gets a grade)
