Мета:

• Активізувати й закріпити вивчений лексико-граматичний матеріал, удосконалити вміння та навички аудіювання, читання, письма, усного мовлення, реагувати невербально на запитання, які вимагають простих відповідей, формування в учнів комунікативних компетенцій;
• Розвивати комунікативні навички в спілкуванні і описування природних явищ,  погоди та пор року. Збагачення словника відносно теми і вміння окреслювати ситуації різними засобами спілкування;
• Виховувати зацікавленість до вивчення англійської мови, толерантність у ставленні до однокласників, виховувати дисципліну та повагу один до одного.  

Обладнання та матеріали:

 Підручник А. Несвіт, Англійська мова, 5 клас, презентація, роздатковий матеріал.

Хід уроку

1. Вступна частина

1. Привітання: Good morning! How are you today? Today we have a very interesting topic about weather and seasons. We are going to talk about nature, learn new vocabulary and develop our knowledge in general. Let’s get started.
2. Правила:

Before we start the lesson I want to clarify some rules:

 

If you have a question – raise your hand

We are in Egypt. It’s so different from home. We went to the desert yesterday. There, it’s too hot during the day – over 50 degrees about zero. And it is freezing at night. There are no flowers, grass or green leaves. There is only sand everywhere.

News reporter: Here is the weather.

 

Weather reporter: Welcome to the weather forecast. Now, let’s see what the weather is like today. In the north of the country it’s very windy and cold. There is a chance of some rain too, so don’t leave home without your umbrella! The temperature is around 10º centigrade. In the east it’s rainy all day today, I’m afraid. There may be a thunderstorm in the afternoon. The temperature is a bit higher, at around 13º. In the west and middle of the country the weather is dry, but cloudy. So no rain for you, but it is quite windy and the temperature is just 10º. The south of the country has the best weather today. It’s cloudy most of the time but sunny this afternoon. The temperature is around 15º.

Possible answers: rainy, windy, dry and cloudy, cloudy and sunny
