Topic: “Family Tree”

Main objectives:

By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to:

  •                 identify people, talk about family, say and recognize mother, father, sister, brother, me, friend in the context of talking about family and friends
  •                 use grammar structure: This is my .... in the context of  speaking   about family and friends.

Supplementary objectives:

By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to:

  •                 practice their listening, speaking and writing skills;
  •                 cooperate working in pairs or groups.

Materials: flashcards with the target vocabulary,  a laptop, a CD player, a CD with  songs "Hello", "Goodbye Song", a video "Family Vocabulary", "Penguin Dance", "Family Tree Song", photos of family members, poster paper, colorful pencils, glue sticks and pens.

 

Procedure:

Greeting

T: Good morning, boys and girls!

Cl: Good morning, Miss!

Warmer:

  1. Singing “Hello” song. (Whole class work). (slide 2 )

T: How are you? Let’s sing a song. (Students are singing and acting).

       2. Dialogue:

Lead-In

Playing a game. (slide 3) Teacher reads the sentences and asks pupils to finish them, using the real information about their families. Pupils listen and repeat, then try to tell about their own families.
