Can shopping make people unhappy?

Hi! I’m Angela Sweaty. I’m 21 and I live with my parents in Dundee. It is the fourth largest city in Scotland. I like my city very much.

I’m very sociable and I have a lot of friends. They live in Dundee too. We often spend time together.

I work in the shoe shop and I’m very happy because I earn money myself and take part in the family housing. I am very careful with my money spending because I want to buy some useful things in future.

One day my friends asked me to help them to buy some fashionable dresses for the parties. I agreed and we went to the shop. My friends chose some beautiful dresses and we went to the fitting room. There they tried them on and Lora asked me to try one dress on. I didn’t want to do it but they insisted and I did it. It fitted me perfectly. I was very elegant. They persuaded me to buy it though I had no money with me. They lent me money. I bought it but when I came home I was very unhappy because I was in a debt and had to ask my parents for help. It was a great lesson for me.
