 Презентація учнівських проектів за ситуацією “It’s time to deliver Christmas  presents”, основою якої є текст “Mrs. Muddle’s Present Puzzle”.

                                         Мета уроку:

 Загальноосвітня.

Розширювати уявлення учнів про традиції жителів Великої Британії, пов’язані з      святкуванням Різдва.

Практична.

Організувати контроль виконання творчого комунікативного завдання “Help Mrs. Muddle to deliver Christmas presents properly” у формі організаційно - ігрових проектів учнів.

  Закріпити зміст прочитаного тексту за допомогою виконання запропонованих творчих  комунікативних завдань

• Prepare the “Mrs. Muddle’s Present Show”;
• Help Mrs. Muddle to deliver Christmas presents properly.

 Навчити учнів:

      - вживати граматичні фрази типу «I would be angry / upset if I got a funny present», «This   present(s) was/were meant to …» на рівні бесіди-обговорення змісту тексту;

     - вживати активні лексичні одиниці тексту на рівні понадфразової єдності на основі мовленнєвих ситуацій запропонованого тексту (постер з активними ЛО тексту подається на дошці ( інтерактивній дошці);

     - обмінюватись репліками на рівні діалогічної єдності «Питання - твердження», «Твердження - твердження»(під час роботи з тестовими завдання.

  Виховна.   

                  Вчити працювати в колективі, поважати думку іншої людини, бути толерантними у співпраці з іншими людьми. Виховувати почуття взаєморозуміння, взаємодопомоги. Розвивати інтелектуальну гнучкість учнів.

  Розвиваюча. 

                  Розвивати уявлення, уміння логічно висловлювати думку мовою, що вивчається, дати учням можливість відчути зріст від формування мовних навичок до розвитку мовленнєвих умінь. Формувати розуміння англійської мови як засобу спілкування.

Обладнання. 

                  Атрибути акторської вистави “Mrs. Muddle’s Present Puzzle”, презентації творчих завдань, підготовлених учнями, картинки, примірники  тексту.

І. Привітання з класом, бесіда з черговим.

ІІ. Постановка вчителем задач уроку.

T: Well, students, some lessons ago I asked you to read a very exciting story about Mrs. Muddle, who decided to buy Christmas presents for her family and friends, but made a muddle after all. Did you like the story? Why do you think the woman’s name is Mrs. Muddle?  I hope we shall discuss the story thoroughly and help her to deliver each present properly.

Презентація першого проектного завдання (група1). Ролі розподілились наступним чином:

Учень1 готує атрибути для рольової гри і називає їх.

P1: Look here. It’s a train set for Jimmy. It’s a bright wool scarf for Sam.

      It’s a cookbook for stern Aunt Susan. These are the sensible socks for Great Uncle Harry.

At last here are roller-skates for little Susie and a microscope for her brother Tom.

Учень2 пише сценарій для рольової вистави.

Учень3 набирає  текст сценарію на комп’ютері.

Учень4 виконує роль Місіс Мадл.

Учень5 виконує роль старого дядечка Гарі.

Учень6 виконує ролі Джиммі, Сьюзі й тітки Сьюзен.

Учень 7 виконує ролі Сема і Тома.

Презентація діалогу “Mrs. Muddle’s Present Puzzle”.

 

Презентація другого проектного завдання (група 2). Розподіл ролей:

Учень1 створює постер “Advance Planning”.

Учень2 готує картки і зображення подарунків.

Учень3 складає “Multiple Choice Test”.

Учень4 готує комп’ютерний варіант тесту.

Учень5 проводить з учнями тест.

Учень6 Проводить з учнями тест.

Учень7 готує комп’ютерний запис різдвяних пісень англійською мовою.

P5P6: Well, our friends, Mrs. Muddle is so muddled that we all were puzzled too. We ask you to help us to clear up the following:

1.  Mrs. Muddle set off for the shops:

a) one September morning;

b) one September evening;

c) one December morning.

2.  She spent all day:

      a) watching TV;

      b) buying presents for her family and friends;

      c) cleaning the house.

3.  She wrapped up the train set for her:

      a) brother Sam;

      b) Aunt Susan;

      c) nephew Jimmy.

4.  The roller-skates were meant for:

      a) brother Tom;

      b) brother Sam;

      c) little Susie.

5.  Mrs. Muddle hid the presents:

     a) under the table;

     b) under the bookcase;

     c) under the bed.

6.  She didn’t any:

     a) labels on the parcels;

     b) stripes on the parcels;

     c) notes inside the things.

7.  Mrs. Muddle saw Great Uncle Harry:

     a) roller-skating down the road;

8.  Who has got the sensible socks really?

P2: Here are the pictures of the presents Mrs. Muddle had brought for her family and friends and here are the names of her friends and family. Match the names and the things whom they were meant to.

P1: Now let’s say what presents have all her friends and her family got. The poster “Advance Planning” will surely help you.

Mrs. Muddle:

Well, it’s September now, but Christmas will come soon. OK, I will not get into the kind of muddle I did last Christmas. I will do my Christmas shopping early so that there are no last minute panics. Advance planning is a secret. I have got an idea what presents to buy for my friends and family.

Jimmy:

Hello, my name is Jimmy. I’m Mrs. Muddle’s nephew. I like toys. I have got a lot of them. But I haven’t got a train set yet. If only Father Christmas brought it to me on Christmas night!

Sam:

Hello, my name is Sam. I’m Mrs. Muddle’s brother. It’s getting cold and I like to cover my neck with a warm scarf when it is cold. So I am dreaming of a bright wool scarf now.

Aunt Susie:

Good afternoon, I’m Aunt Susie. People think of me being stern and strict, but I’m not the kind of a person. I like comfort and order. But most of all I like cooking and I collect cookbooks.

 

Great Uncle Harry:

How do you do? I’m Great Uncle Harry. I am so old and my feet are always cold. Perhaps I’ll get a present of sensible socks on my birthday or on Christmas.

Susie:

Hi, I’m little Susie. I like roller-skating. I have got a nice pair of roller-skates, but they were bought last year , and they are rather tight.

Tom:

Hi, I’m Susie’s elder brother Tom. I am fond of schooling. I go to St. Grove School in London. My favourite subject is Biology. I like investigations and experiments. My parents promised to buy a microscope to please me.

Mrs. Muddle:

Oh, at last I have staggered home. Look at me. I’m as busy as a bee, exhausted but satisfied; and I won’t stop until every present is wrapped up and put safely away.

This is a train set for my nephew Jimmy, a bright wool scarf for my brother Sam. And here is a cookbook for stern Aunt Susan and the sensible socks for Great Uncle Harry. For little Susie I have bought roller-skates and for her elder brother Tom a microscope. Now I’ll hide all these under the bed.

Mrs. Muddle:

Oh, there we are having Christmas Eve. I think it’s time to deliver my presents. Oh, no! I have made a muddle after all. I didn’t put any labels on the parcels and now I can’t remember which is which. But there isn’t time to undo the presents and them up again. I do hope I’ve got this right.

Mrs. Muddle:

Oh, what a bright and clear morning we are having! It’s Merry Christmas. But what’s that?

Great Uncle Harry:

Hello, Mrs. Muddle! Can’t stop now – don’t know how! Best present I’ve had in years! Thank you!

Mrs. Muddle:

Oh, my good mess! Then who has got the sensible socks?

 

 

Susie:

Hello, Mrs. Muddle. I’ve got new roller-skates. My aunt gave them to me. And socks are great! It doesn’t you hurt at all when you fall over. Thank you!

Sam:

Hello, my dear sister! Thank you so much for the presents. I’ve wanted a train set ever since I was three years old. It’s wonderful! And Jimmy likes his microscope.

Mrs. Muddle:

Really?

Jimmy:

Oh, yes, my dear Auntie, I do like it!

Stern Aunt Susan:

Oh, my dear! Thank you so much for my present. I love this sensible scarf. Such a fun!

Mrs. Muddle:

Well, well. Almost everyone seems happy. Now let me think. What can little Susie’s brother Tom have  got?

Tom:

Good afternoon, Mrs. Muddle. I’ve made some cookies from my cookbook for you. They look a bit funny, but they taste good. It was a great present!

Mrs. Muddle:

This has been the most muddle and most successful Christmas ever. I knew advance planning was the answer!
