Бінарний урок з географії та англійської мови для учнів 7 класу.

Тема: North America. Північна Америка.

Мета: Познайомитись з особливостями географічного положення Північної Америки. Розглянути історію відкриття та дослідження материка. Продовжити розвивати вміння працювати г географічними картами, аналізувати, робити висновки.

Мета з англійської мови : Закріпити і активізувати лексику теми та тренувати учнів у її вживанні. Навчати учнів аудіюванню. Формувати навички усного мовлення. Удосконалювати техніку читання. Розвивати міжпредметні зв`язки, уміння аналізувати вивчений матеріал, робити висновки. Виховувати пізнавальну активність до інших країн.

Обладнання: фізична карта Світу, атласи, контурні карти.

Тип уроку : інтегрований; введення в нову тему.

Хід уроку.

1.Greeting .Привітання.

T: Good morning , boys and girls. Nice to see you ! How are you today ? We have a very unusual lesson today!

2. Aim. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T: We are going to speak about the geographical position of one continent. During our lesson you will learn more about this continent , you will also practice in listening ,speaking, reading. Now let us find out what is the continent we will speak about. We have parts of the puzzle, please come here and put it together.

T: So, what is the continent? –it is North America.

Основна частина уроку .

Сьогодні ми почнемо знайомство з новим материком Північною Америкою. Розглянемо географічне положення і познайомимось з історією відкриття та освоєнню материка.

За своєю площею (20,4 млн км.кв., з островами 24,4 млн.км кв.) Північна Америка посідає третє місце серед континентів.

Що можна сказати про географічне положення цього маретика?

Берегова лінія?
Розташування по відношенню до інших материків?
Які течії омивають?
Користуючись масштабом, виміряйте довжину і ширину материка.

Історія відкриття та освоєння. Першими побачили материк нормани. Активно почали освоювати європейці після подорожі Христофора Колумба. (коротка справка учня про життя Колумба). Але названа Америка на честь Амеріго Веспуччі (кротка справка іншого учня). З 15 столітті досліджували Джон Кабот, Джон девіс, Генрі Гудзон, Вільям Баффін, Олександр Маккензі, Вітус Берінг, Олексій Чиріков (короткі повідомлення учнів).

North America is a continent located in the Northern and Western Hemispheres, between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The majority of North America lies below the Arctic Circle and above the Tropic of North. Although North America was discovered first by Italian explorer Christopher Columbus, the continent is named after Americo Vespucci. Famous places to visit and popular attractions include Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Niagara Falls, the Rocky Mountains .The tallest point in North America is Mount McKinley, which is located in Alaska, and the lowest point is Death Valley, which is in California. North America is surrounded by three oceans: the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Arctic Ocean to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the south and west.

Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States.

The Grand Canyon is the second largest canyon in the world .The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona It is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Yellowstone was the first National Park in the U.S. and is the first national park in the world.^[6] The park is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser.I t has many types of ecosystems.

Death Valley is a desert valley located in Eastern California. It is one of the hottest places in the world at the height of summertime along with deserts in Africa and in the Middle East.
