Урок граматики з теми здоров’я
Тема: Проблеми зі здоров’ям
Мета: вдосконалити та узагальнити навички вживання ЛО з теми; повторити вживання модального дієслова should (порада), та розділових запитань; вдосконалювати навички письма, читання та усного мовлення; розвивати мовну здогадку й мовленнєву реакцію учнів; підвищувати загальну культуру здорового способу життя.
Очікувані результати: на кінець уроку учні зможуть вживати лексику з теми в реченнях, давати поради щодо лікування певних хвороб, будувати та розігрувати діалоги з теми, складати розділові запитання, дізнаються більше про здоровий спосіб життя.
Обладнання: зошити, словники, підручник, картки, презентація.
Хід уроку
І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення
1. Greeting:
T.: Good morning pupils! I am glad to see you.
P.: Good morning teacher….
T.: What the weather like today?
P.: The weather is ….
T.: Tell me please, what health problems can we have in such weather?
P1.: When it`s cold and rainy weather we can catch a cold or have got a runny nose or even a cough and a fever.
P2.: To my mind, the worst thing that could happen is a quinsy. It is a serious infection and the best treatment for it – an antibiotics.
2. Aim: So as you can see today we continue to speak about health problems and what should we do if we have such problems, also we will refresh our knowledge about question tags.
3. Warming up: Now, please look at the whiteboard. You have 2 minutes to unscramble the words in the box. Your time starts right now.

T.: all right. Now raise your hands who have less than 5 words, who have from 5 till 10 and now who have 12 words? Let`s check (Pupils start reading their words. One pupil writes them down near the whiteboard)

1. Checking homework: Tell me please, what day is it today and who is absent. What was the homework for today? Let’s read.
2. Listening Look at the monitor and listen to the dialogue. Your task is answer the questions and make up your own little dialogues about your visiting to the doctor. (before listening write questions on the whiteboard) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6ARl2XOEoY (video for download the dialogue)
Questions: 1. What is this dialogue about?
2. Who is Mr.Smith?
3. What problem did the girl have?
4. What was doctor`s advice?
5. What would you recommend to this girl?
3. Speaking/Reading: Open your books on page 76, read the task of ex.6? Work in pairs Act out the situation (pupils are making up dialogues).
3. Writing: Take cards #2 on your desks. Complete the sentences with the words from our topic.
1. He needs glasses because of his ___________ .
2. You must take __________ if you have a quinsy.
3. I measured my _______ with thermometer yesterday.
4. Our family doctor will _________ me tomorrow.
5. They have eaten lots of ice cream and now have _________.
6. Carol should take ________ because she coughs a lot.
4. Grammar Lab: Now look at these sentences. Can you make questing tags with them? But first of all who can refresh the rule to all class what is a question tag?
P.: Question tags are short questions which are placed at the end of the sentences, are formed with auxiliary or modal verbs and a personal pronoun.
T.: Thanks, turn over your page, ex.1, page 74 Complete the sentences with the correct question tags.
5. A mime game. T.: (choose one pupil) I will show you a picture of an illness or a disease and your task to show it to the class and they have to guess what is it. (The teacher can choose any other pictures)
6. Speaking: Today we have already spoken a lot about health problem. I want to ask you a question – what proverbs about health do you know?
P.: An apple a day, keeps the doctor away.
T.: Good I want to offer you two cards. In the first type you should match the beginning and the end of the proverb and in the second card you should put the words of the proverbs about health in a logical order. You have 1-2 minutes to cope with this task. Let`s start.

ІІІ. Заключна частина уроку
1.Summarizing: T.: During the lesson we were speaking about different illnesses and diseases. Also we gave a lot of pieces of advice what to do in different situations. But now at the end of our lesson let`s make a health code. What do you think people should or shouldn’t do to stay healthy and have never visited a doctor. If you think that you should do this raise a green card, and if you think you shouldn’t do this – raise a red one. Let`s start.
(The teacher gives red and green cards to pupils beforehand)
